Hi Everyone.
Recently, my computer pooped out on me, so I had to reformat. I lost my Gadwin Print Screen tool, which worked really well. I redownloaded it, but now when I use the print screen tool, it opens the program instead of just sending the screen cap to the "PrintScreen Files" folder. And when I save the image, it has a big faded "Unregistered Version" printed across the image.

I need the screen capture tool for my Sim stories and things of that sort. So does anyone know where I can find a really good, free, easy to use Screen Cap tool that will copy images straight to a folder, without me having to edit it (hard to do when my game is running), and doesn't have some "Unregistered Version" or something like that printed across the screen. My story pictures would look awful like that.

Either a new tool or does anyone know how to fix the Print Screen tool to where it will behave like it's supposed to?

Are you using the freeware or the professional version? If you've inadvertently downloaded and installed the professional version you'll see "Unregistered Version" across the image until you register and pay for it.

At the downloads page there was a "Print Screen" and "Print Screen Professional". I downloaded the first one.

For mine, I personally use Infranview. Google it, it works pretty well for me. I'd give a link but that hard from this iPod. There isn't an app for that...

Or, try entering Gadwin Printscreen freeware into google. I'm not sure why yours is messing up, but anything's worth a shot. I have the most recent release and mine is working just fine.

I redownloaded it. I guess somehow I got the wrong one. I was sure I got the free version, but I guess my I didn't. I got it working now. Thanks Joy, you can lock this one up now if you want.

Glad you got it working! I thought it was that you had inadvertently downloaded the wrong version. It can happen to the best of us. :)
