I'm looking for playable Harp , Banjo , Violin , tin whistle , drum like what the calvery boys played , and anything else that would suite 1800s.. I've already looked at mods2. Sim Clouds Title: Re: Musical Instruments? Post by: Theraven on June 25, 2010, 02:55:53 pm Playable violin comes with FreeTime, just in case you didn't know. I think there was a big piano there, too.
Here is a harp (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=248031) that is not playable - but it plays music... And a playable contrabass (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=60366) (mesh is here (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?p=1530813)). And I know I found a few poseboxes with harp and flute poses (and accessories) somewhere. I'll let you know if I find it. Title: Re: Musical Instruments? Title: Re: Musical Instruments? Post by: Theraven on June 25, 2010, 04:18:03 pm You have Uni, right? Most playable instruments won't work without.

Title: Re: Musical Instruments? Post by: Tenshii~Akari on June 26, 2010, 07:49:04 am There's some chinese instrument pose boxes and accessories here (http://www.mtsims-cakestore.com/sims2%E4%B8%8B%E8%BD%BD-sims2download/mt2-%E7%89%A9%E5%93%81-objects/%E5%8A%A8%E4%BD%9C01-03/) and here (http://www.mtsims-cakestore.com/sims2%E4%B8%8B%E8%BD%BD-sims2download/mt2-%E7%89%A9%E5%93%81-objects/%E5%8A%A8%E4%BD%9C04-06/), if those were the ones you were talking about, Raven.
I was working on converting some free-use 3d instruments as accessories to fit with those poses at one point, but they were so high-poly that even opening and importing them into Blender caused my laptop to crash. :D Perhaps I'll try again one day once the contest I'm in is done. ;) Title: Re: Musical Instruments? Post by: Theraven on June 26, 2010, 07:55:27 am If you give me a link to them, I could take them down in poly. I've done that with quite a few meshes lately... Some being like 50-100 000 polys or even more, and I got them down to somewhere around 1-3000 without losing too much detail... My computer handles that easy.
The free meshes aren't even properly UVmapped sometimes, but that usually goes fast to fix. And those are the poseboxes I meant :) Title: Re: Musical Instruments? Post by: Tenshii~Akari on June 26, 2010, 09:08:21 am Thanks for the offer! ;D Here's a few of them:
Saxophone (http://www.archibaseplanet.com/download/28141.html) Flute (http://www.archibaseplanet.com/download/4118.html) Trumpet (http://www.archibaseplanet.com/download/3924.html) (Alternate) (http://gfx-3d-model.blogspot.com/2008/07/trumpet.html) Trombone (http://artist-3d.com/free_3d_models/dnm/model_disp.php?uid=1224&count=count) I can't seem to remember where I saw a free clarinet at, though, and I wasn't able to find a tin whistle or banjo yet (I'm positive they've been made, they probably aren't free, though)... I'm still learning meshing "from scratch" methods in Blender, so if I even tried to make one of those now, it wouldn't even look like the real thing. :p |
