Title: 2 bigger, more expensive Lots
Post by: Sleepycat on July 04, 2005, 01:58:37 pm
these should be clean *removed her hacks before packing*

35 Lucky Lane - $64,919 - app 6 bedrooms and app 4 bathrooms

45 Lucky Lane - $41,801 - app 7 bedrooms and app 3 bathrooms

I say "app" cause there are some rooms that be used as bedrooms or study/rec rooms or whatever (their bigger then 4x4) and some rooms can be used as a bathroom or a very small bedroom. Both Lots have plenty of room inside and out.

Edit - I think these require the Uni EP

Thanks Mark, I hope your sims like them  :flower:

I plan on doing somemore on bigger lots but I doubt the houses will be as big as these 2 *shrugs* but then again, I never know what a house will be like until I'm working on it

With Nightlife coming I'm trying to keep in mind space for driveways and garages. I'm sure some of my familys will have more then 1 car even if they aren't rich  :iroc:

I should take a pic of what my houses look like in game then so you can see how I do mine, but yea once that comes, the shape of my houses are gonna change then to add the garages onto them as well.

*would like to see a pic*

Do you enjoy building? Tim dosen't, hes the reason I finally decided to upload some here (this way I only have to upload them once hehehe)

I know some of the building tricks but I don't mess with them usually cause it already takes me hours to do a simple house

At times I enjoy it, but it still is a pain in the butt to do, cuz it takes me awhile to build my houses as well, and you'll see why then when I get a pic of my houses. I might think of maybe putting up some that I do, if someone likes them, but I doubt it.

should be possible Tim, not sure if I can do it tho, my brains alittle blurry on the floor plans, specially for the upstairs (and attic)

The moat is in all my houses, but the sims hardly ever go outside of the house to play so it doesnt really matter. That "Huge ugly machine" as you call it, on the roof is the InSim! lol.. As far as the company, I knew you wouldnt complain about that Tim! lol...

I like those! That's clever that bit with the second level over the first one like that. How did you do that? I've never built any homes and that before!

after you put up the walls for the first level, go up to the second level, you should see the grid showing where you can place floor tiles. I just placed floor tiles 1 square extending out over the lower walls (you can usually go alittle farther if you want) then I did the walls for the second level and so on.

You can't have it to close to the edge of the Lot though or you won't be able to place the walls for the second level.

With support posts you can go out as far as you want and I found you can usually delete most of the support posts afterwards   works great if you have a small lot and want more yard space but need a good size house for your sims.

Blimey! You know a lot about building! Ta for telling me how you made that, as it really is effective. You've given me some inspiration! So, I might just try and make my first lot today. Expect a bit of a rubble yard from me!
