Post by: nene05 on January 28, 2007, 03:44:05 pm
Hi everyone, I have recently downloaded skin tones, eyes and make up etc. and this content wont install in my game I'm currently using the WinRAR program and I'm getting very upset because I want these items. I even erased all the files and went back on the website to download them again and it still wont go in the game. By the way I do have the mesh and everything the stuff just wont show up in the game. Can anyone help me?

Do you have custom content enabled in your game?

Are you sure they are in your downloads folder? if you unzipped them & you have custom content enabled they should show up in your game.

Yes Im sure its in the downloads folder. Do I need to make a sub folder and put the genetic files inside of it? And also can you have too many files inside your download folder?

The path to your downloads folder should be My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads.  It should not be in Program Files.  If it is, move it.  The folder should also have the capital D in the name.  It doesn't matter for objects and recolors, but it does matter for anything used in Bodyshop, i.e., clothes, makeup, genetics.

Hope this helps you.
