Title: Alpha Edit to Create Wispy Bangs on Rose Sims2 Ponytail in All Four Hair Colors Post by: kaneonapua on February 19, 2007, 10:47:41 pm An alpha edit in nine colors to add wispy bangs to the long ponytail mesh by Rose Sims2 (http://www.rosesims2.net). The wispy bangs replace the long strands of hair that originally framed the face. I have edited Rose's original five colors and four of my recolors. Thank you, Rose, for allowing me to recolor and modify your textures.
Rose's Original Colors: The file MTS2_RoseSims2FreeHair0034_KaneoFringeORIGINAL_SET contains Rose's original colors with the wispy bangs alpha edit. The five colors, black, rose brown, blonde, platinum and a delicate wine red are color binned. The ponytail comes in child through elder. Rose's original colors don't have a toddler version and the elder versions use the non-elder shades. This is the only download with the black and blonde shades. Recolors: There are also four recolors with the wispy bangs edit: a dark chestnut brown recolor and three red recolors in dark auburn, copper and ginger which are also color binned. The complete recolor set is in MTS2_RoseSims2FreeHair0034_KaneoFringeRECOLORS_ALL. The four recolors are also available as individual downloads. The recolored elder hair comes in two shades: the brown and auburn have a silver brown while the ginger and copper shades come with a silver beige. The recolors have a toddler version that uses the chin length Maxis hair style with bangs and has been colored to match the shades of the other ages. Note: A slightly different version of the copper ponytail recolor (http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=37613) was posted in the previous post "Three Copper Ponytails". The only difference between this version and the one in the previous post is that the ponytail elastic is different and the toddler hair has a more realistic copper shade. The recolors were done for the Natural Redhead Project (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=203048) to make more hairstyles available in the many beautiful naturally occurring shades of red hair. The recolors are available without the alpha edit (http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=32289). It may seem odd to put shades that range from orange to deep brown red in the red bin but the goal is to make the full spectrum of red shades available to genetic redheads. Mesh Information: The mesh comes with 5 colors at Rose Sims2 (http://www.rosesims2.net) in Download > Hair. It is currently on page 12. The file to download is rosehair_0034.zip The name of the unzipped mesh file is MESH_RoseHair_0084.package. Terms of Use: These recolors may only be used in Sims distributed by 100% free sites. Skin: JWilson5's Hairy Skins for Redheads (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=215341) is a modified Louis (SimScribbing) skin with AllenABQ body hair. The skin for the normal Maxis body type doesn't require any additional meshes, just download the Norm-HairyRed-Barbie.rar file for hairy, SKN-Norm-XhairyRed-Barbie.rar for extra hairy and SKN-Norm-XXhairyRed-Barbie.rar for extreme hairy (Not to worry, only the males come with body hair ;) ). Eyeliner: eyeliner is the 0036 makeup file from RoseSims2 (http://www.rosesims2.net/). The moss green outfit is from Peggy Sims (http://freearea.peggysims2.net/femaleadult.do?currentpage=155&curtenpage=155&direction=thistenpage&pagemethod=thispage). I actually never used this type of hairstyle prior to Seasons, since it didn't seem applicable to all occasions, but now that hairstyles can change based upon function, this is so much more practical!
