Title: how many ?!? Post by: robert1967 on March 15, 2007, 05:20:17 pm Does anyone know how many downloads you can install before it stops showing up anymore content ?!?
I think I have over 26 mb worth of downloads sofar, maybe more. oh, one more thing, I would like to thank all of the very talent people that makes the items here. I cant make anything for these games, too bad I couldn't use AutoCAD or Inventor, then I would be a god. Thank you Robert Williams just counted, I have 913 items in my download folder, 298 megs. Some people have commented they've got 4 GB and more. I'm a lightweight at 1.7 GB and 3,700+ files. You shouldn't be having any problems with CC showing up as long as you've got it in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads and not the similar path under Program Files. And naturally, make sure the package file is in that folder, not a zip, rar or Sims2Pack. Title: how many ?!? Post by: Micco on March 17, 2007, 06:58:42 am I have over 12,000 downloads and I am by no means at the bleeding edge of downloadaholia ;) Every now and again, something will not show up but that is usually due to a corrupted or defective file. In any case, fire up that high-speed connection and get to downloading, you have catching up to do (both of you :D )
Title: how many ?!? Post by: ancienthighway on March 17, 2007, 11:06:28 am Lol. I'm one the bandwagon. Although I just put more of my downloads into Seasons so I'm up to 5,300+ files and 2.3 GB.
Title: how many ?!? Post by: PiperK1980 on March 20, 2007, 06:30:03 pm I've got 14,272 files at 4.21 GB. Downloadaholic and still going strong!!!
Title: how many ?!? Post by: SkeleBear on March 20, 2007, 08:33:18 pm Robert,
I've peaked previously at a little over 22,000 files in my Downloads folder at about 8.3 GB. My game still ran, and EVERYTHING (unfortunately) showed up. I don't think that there is any 'limit' to how much you can put into your Downloads folder, but the more that you put in there, the slower things will go for your game, since the game has to read more and more files. |
