Title: Plants Inside Greenhouse Being Overwatered By Rain?
Post by: NeitherSparky on April 07, 2007, 07:10:43 pm
I was under the impression from the Prima guide that 1) rain will not overwater plants and 2) plants inside a greenhouse cannot be watered by rain anyways. So how come when it rains some of the plants in my greenhouse turn brown and drip? Now, the four plants that are doing this are the only plants in there who have been overwatered in the past, by my Sim (my bad). The plants who have never been overwatered before don't do this. Do they have little plant-memories? Are they associating the rainfall with overwatering and exhibiting paranoid symptoms?? :D Okay, seriously, my Sim is *not* watering any of them, I haven't had her water them in many days now (since the rainy season began), only tend them when they sprout weeds, because they...don't seem to need it, just as if they are being watered by the rain. I swear, I *did* put a roof on the greenhouse! But when it rains, those four plants that have been overwatered in the past become overwatered whenever it rains. Is this a game glitch? Has anyone else seen this? Thanks, lol, I know this sounds bizarre but it's really happening.

My first question is whether the green house is complete.  Four walls, roof?  I know you swear you did...but does the roof cover the top completely?

If nothing else, add the plants to the compost and lay down some fresh soil for the next planting.

Could be a game glitch as well, as I've had this happen too. Pescado over on MATY made a fix for it thankfully. I've been using it, and my plants inside greenhouses no longer get overwatered when it's raining.

Thanks you guys! I'm glad I'm not the only one this has happened to. I was starting to think the game was making fun of me. :happy8:
