Title: My sims can't pay bills Post by: S3n| on April 08, 2007, 07:05:05 am I don't know why but everytime I send my sims to go to the mailbox, they just won't go! They get there but then nothing happened.
I already got a warning saying that I don't pay my bills in over a year. It said that there was going to be measures. What is going to happen? I have all the expansions installed. Please help! Title: My sims can't pay bills Post by: veash on April 08, 2007, 01:53:17 pm Not paying your bills will cause the Repo Man to show up. He'll wander around your house and take a bunch of stuff.
It may be a hack causing the problem but I think it's a Maxis bug. Never hurts to run the Sims 2 Hack Conflict Detection Utility: http://www.simwardrobe.com/ You can also try to shift + left click on your mailbox, you should get an option to force error or debug/force bills. You may need a mod to get that menu from the mailbox. If so, it's called SeeThem2 and can be found here: http://simsky.parsimonious.org/proggie/en_st2.php Title: My sims can't pay bills Post by: S3n| on April 08, 2007, 04:23:18 pm Thanks for your help veash! I did a scan with the hack tool and I don't have any conflicts.
I'm going to try SeeThem now and see if it works. Thank you! :happy8: Title: My sims can't pay bills Post by: Bejac on April 09, 2007, 08:20:26 am Ooohhh, I didnt know about the autopay option, I will have to search for it. Anyways, I have had that problem, too. It seems that when using InSim to summon visitors to a lot, or to delete them, the game doesn't always recognize them as "gone." So there will be a chair you can't sit in or an object you can't use, etc. The "move_objects" cheat cures this, but when there's a ghost by the mailbox that method won't work. So what I did was summon a vistor and then used "say goodbye to everyone." That worked, but I don't know why.
