hi all. I am having this issue where the thumbnails in my sim bin do not match with the correct sim. It's not all of them, just a few. For instance, I have some male thumbnails in the female bin and repeat thumbnails for some. When I click the sim the correct one shows up, the thumbnail is just wrong. Does that make sense? :) Any help is appreciated. In CAS (in game) you can hold down the CTRL key and right click the thumbnail, this should cause the game to generate a new thumbnail. If this doesn't work for some reason, you should move to the next step of deleting the thumbnail packages (id est, BuildModeThumbnails.package, CANHObjectsThumbnails.package, CASThumbnails.package, DesignModeThumbnails.package, ObjectThumbnails.package) from: PCs: ~\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Thumbnails Macs: ~/Home/EA Games/The Sims 2/Thumbnails Make sure you only delete the files in the folder, not the folder itself. Also you will want to delete cigen.package (the Body Shop thumbnail package) from: PCs: ~\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Macs: ~/Home/EA Games/The Sims 2 In some extreme instances (not every time) it is also wise to delete Groups.cache from: PCs: ~\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Macs: ~/Home/EA Games/The Sims 2 Hope this helps All of this is safe to do, the game will re-create all the necessary files. I was getting that not starting thing a while back.
