If she did exist, I believe that she defied her father to spare any more of her fellow-woman from becoming one night conquests by the ruling King, who would then behead them afterwards. It is a great legend, told by the greatest story-teller of all time. I only hope I did her justice by recreating her according to the only artist's rendering I found.
