Title: Bon Voyage Crash Post by: CandyRed2006 on September 13, 2007, 11:34:57 pm When I start Bon Voyage I get to a blue screen then the game crashes. I cann't figure out why Bon Voyage won't run on my computer. I even bought a new video card that works with Vista but I still didn't have any luck. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would tell me what I did wrong. Here are my specs

Title: Bon Voyage Crash Post by: CandyRed2006 on September 14, 2007, 12:49:21 am It just say the application has crashed & will terminate. Once it said something about directX 9 but the dialog box closed before I could actually read all of it.
Title: Bon Voyage Crash Post by: Mihura on September 14, 2007, 03:17:22 pm Maybe can you update your drivers (especialy your graphic card driver) because of the direct x failure... But sorry I don't know if it's that. :)
Title: Bon Voyage Crash Post by: Deviancy on September 15, 2007, 01:39:24 pm That's an odd resolution you have things set at..
1360x768? Desktop right? You also don't have the drivers installed for your monitor.. not a big deal tho.. I don't even think the Sims supports 1360x768, I'd have to re-check. But you should set your desktop to 1280x1024 or 1280x960.. If you're using a 14 inch monitor then set it to about 1024x768... Refresh rate is fine.. When you bought that new card and installed it. Did you install the drivers from the cd or from the website? You always want to make you get them from the website. Title: Bon Voyage Crash Post by: CandyRed2006 on September 17, 2007, 03:05:01 am Thanks for the help, Deviancy! I finally got to play Bon Voyage. :-P
I downloaded the drivers from the website like you said & changed the resolution. I also cleaned my harddrive & found out I had a lot of old files from upgrading to vista. Thanks again |
