Title: missing face...
Post by: hauxinca on December 29, 2007, 11:11:23 pm
In the CAS screen, adult female sims have no face.  I can see clear through their head.  Also light and medium dark skin tone change at the neckline no matter what age/sex.  No adjustments available either in the face changing section.  Also sometimes it crashes when I attempt to create a sim.  I just got a new graphics card, but they seem unrelated, no?  I removed custom content, but no dice.  Is this fixable, or should I attempt reinstallation?
Any ideas?

I was thinking it was probably that you had more than one default replacement skin or mesh in your game that was conflicting, but since removing the Downloads folder was a no-go, something in the game itself might be corrupt.  I know there's a possible way to fix files without doing a complete re-install, but I'm not quite sure of how to do it and which files to replace... or if those files are related to your problem.  :dontknow:

You might want to try and see if a re-install will help, but remember to back-up all of your most valued files in your Sims 2 folder before attempting to do so.  Wouldn't want you to loose all of your hard work along with the game's corrupt files.
