Title: Not even opening up Post by: Keira_Rose on January 05, 2008, 12:11:27 am i installed the sims 2 on my mac mini and then installed open for buisness and the sims 2 pets.
it ran smoothly for about 4 months until i decided to get the sims 2 university. after i installed it my computer came up with a sign that said "the sims 2 university is recommended for a powerPC running 500 MHz or faster". after this didnt work i tried it on my mac and it would not install so i finally tried it on my macbook pro. the sims 2 installed successfully and i managed to make it run, but when i tried to install the sims university it said it installed it, but when i tried to run it the icon bounced once or twice in the menu dock and then closed. afterwards the screen came up with a little sign saying that the application had quit unexpectedly and would i like to relaunch it. i thought this was just a glitch in the program so i clicked relaunch and it did the same thing. does anyone know how to fix this??? if you can please help me. What i had to do was to remove the eps which i had which was seasons and nightlife.REMEMBER TO BACK UP because i didnt and lost everything :( Then to install university First before putting the other eps on. First install The Sims 2 then install University ep then Nightlife ep then open for business ep then Christmas pack SP then Family Fun Stuff SP then Glamor Life SP then Pets ep then Seasons ep then Celebrations sp then H&M sp then Bon voyage ep then Teen Style sp then Free Time ep then Kitchen and bath sp then IKEA sp then Apartment Life ep then finally Mansion & Garden sp I hope this helped :) Title: Re: Not even opening up Post by: caffeinated.joy on January 30, 2009, 04:04:56 pm Keira_Rose is no longer a member here, but thanks for giving an answer.
