The first problem you described about the game crashing when you bought clothes in a store. You mentioned that it happened before. Do you remember what the last thing was that was downloaded and put into your game? If you can remember what it was that was put into the game before the crash, you could take it out of your Downloads folder to see if your game will crash again or not.

Otherwise, run the hack conflict detector to see what mod(s) are conflicting with each other and remove the problem mod(s) one by one until the game doesn't crash anymore. Some people find this easier by taking their Downloads folder out and then test each mod until they find the one causing the crash.

Seems like the second problem -may- be related to Sims 2 being corrupted, not being able to set the resolution from inside the game. Try a new install and see if that will work. If you want to save your neighborhoods, back them up before you do a new install!

Good luck.

I decided to take out all of my downloads.
I dont think its really worth it..

Alright.Thats my problem...I borrowed the game from one of my friends, installed it on my computer and then gave the game but the him.So I dont actually have Sims 2..I guess I'll have to get back in contact with him again!

Thanks!

:howdy: When you get back into the game, try adding subfolders to your Downloads folder, i.e. Downloads\Floors or Downloads\Walls...

Also  add a Downloads\Hacks folder for all your hacks. That makes upkeep and removal a lot easier ;).

If you sort your subfolders by creator (real tedious, but can be worth it), you can not only find the bad package but also tell the mods creator of your issues. He\She\It may be willing to update the recalcitrant mod or tell you what you can do to make it work in your game :happy8:.
