Title: taking pictures in game play
Post by: cantbythrill on February 13, 2008, 07:46:47 am
I know this is going to make me seem like a dunce, but how do you take pictures while in game play? When I click on a sim and choose "take picture", a green rectangle appears and says to choose a subject, press "c", but when I do that, it takes the picture. I want to know how to aim the camera, i guess.

Hi Cantybythrill. I'm moving this to the Bon Voyage help section, so the people who can help you with this will see it and be able to help you. In all the playing I've done, I've never actually used the "take picture" option, but I'm sure plenty of other people have. :)

It's sounds sort of like the "paint still life" option that the easel has, I guess. (Don't have BV, but it sounds just like it.) You should be able to move the camera around with your mouse, and select which area in the window you want to take a picture of.  Whatever is within the frame is what will be in the picture once you press the "C" key.

If it doesn't let you move the mouse with that now, though, I'm not quite sure what to do with it.  :dontknow:

Just like Tenshii said, it is just like the "paint still life" option.  When you get the green box, (I usually pause here) I move the camera around till I get the exact shot I want in the box. Then I press "C" and cross out the queue for the poses. :D
