Post by: Omi~ on February 16, 2008, 07:35:52 pm Hello, I wanted to rebuild one of the hotels at the Japanese village so I used changelotzoning community, I made changes and then before exiting I used the same cheat but with "hotel". I have sent my sims there and now they can't book empty rooms and the information desk has no actions attached. But there -are- tourists, desk man, ladies doing the cleaning...

The only thing that may be causing the problem is as Vanessa has stated. Check to see that you used the appropriate hotel doors. I am not sure but they may not have been available when you did the initial built but after the CHEAT was used and you saved and exited the lot, they should be available when you re-entered the lot.

I tried making my sims checking in at a prebuilt hotel that I didn't modify and they can't select doors either. I really don't know what is going on... Also, if you have downloaded any lots from others you may have inadvertently added a "hidden" mod that is older and needs to be updated. As CJ has suggested, if this is the possible case of a mod conflict, you need to run either Clean Installer or the SW Hack Conflict Utility or MATY's Hack Diff mod to be certain.

There;s never a belboy or a guy at reception, no housekeepers - nowt.

Post by: jinyc on March 11, 2008, 01:05:23 pm I built a hotel in Twikkii eons ago and it has always worked. I used the zoning cheat and it worked. I am now trying to remember if I used hotel or dorm to set it up. I don't think it was dorm as this cheat would (or should) be specific to UNI lots but...and it's a big but...maybe that's a EXis fubar.
What I have found is that one can not build a hotel on any other hood except a vacation one. Others have tried to build in the main neighborhood and have failed continuously. Are you trying to build in a vacation hood or another neighborhood i.e DT, Bluewater or any of the main hoods? I just cheat now and place the stuff and get availible sims to stand there for stories etc.
Never had the take photos option either so something is causing a conflict. Spend hours + hours checking downloads and using hack tools the worst offender i can find for anything that goes wrong in the game is the inteem which just appears in my downloads every now and then without me even trying to get it. i don't want it, i don;t like and i wish people would check their files before they upload - i do. |
