Title: Error During Installation - Missing File Post by: ZombieRain on March 15, 2008, 01:55:09 pm I am currently trying to install the original sims 2 on my lap top. I am using the DVD version and my laptop does have a dvd drive. When I enter the disk into the drive I get an error message saying:
"Cannot find required DLL 'C:\DOCUME~1\my name\LOCALS~1\Temp\AutoRunGUI.Dll'" What does this mean and can it be fixed? Thanks When I open up 'my computer' I can see the sims 2 icon in my disk drive. I can even open it to view all the contents. I just cant get the autorun or setup to get started. Any ideas? note: I am using windows xp on an acer aspire 5100 with all the default specs. I am able to run other dvds and games on this laptop. |
