Title: Startup Cheats
Post by: EKozski on May 15, 2008, 07:42:07 pm
I was just curious about the user startup cheats.

When I type out the cheat commands in Notepad, do I type them out EXACTLY as I would when I click Ctrl Shift c, or do I have to type something before it?

I'm trying to do this because I keep forgetting to do it.

And, I already now to save the file as, userStartup.cheats

The cheats are to turn my shaders off and turn the volume down on the tv's.

Thank you

Hi Ed! I saved this page a long time ago that shows how to enter it, etc... Hopefully it will answer your question. *crosses fingers*

There is a downloable version at Snooty sim site you can edit if you prefer, you can find it  Here (http://www.snootysims.com/cheatsindex.php?id=userstartup)

Thank you BlooM,

I'm trying to figure something out, since I want the cheats run when I start the game up without having to type anything.....if such a thing is possible

Here's the cheats I want to use:

boolProp useShaders false
floatProp tvVolume 0.2

Do I have to add anything else, like  # or - or alias

I did try it just using those and my game seemed to run fine, no blue screen but I didn't try the TV.

Thank you

EDIT:  I just turned around and downloaded yours and added two lines to it.

Thank you BlooM
