Title: Japanese paper lamp Post by: katsushima on June 11, 2008, 01:33:00 pm Hey everybody! I've searched literally every sims 2 website outhere to try to find a tradtional japanese lamp. (I know I'm a dork) Anyways, and I FINALLY came across the PERFECT most AMAZING lamp here: http://www.sweetsims.com/meshes/sweetsims_sims_furniture.html
The problem? It doesn't show up in the game! So can someone please download it and figure out how to make it work right? I'd really appreciate it! And if anyone needs this info, I have ALL expansion packs and then I have four stuff packs: Family Fun, H&M fashion, Glamour Life, and Teen Style. If you actually went and looked you probably would have seen that it said "mesh and recolors by tetuo" and that should all be included with the download. Please go there again and actually try. Title: Japanese paper lamp Post by: Prudensh on June 11, 2008, 07:19:57 pm OK it looks like the PaperLampbyl01.package is the mesh as it's one meg bigger than all the other files which are pretty obviously the recolours.
If you have SimPE you can find out what it's cloned from and whether you have that object in your game. How the hell should I know, I'm just saying that usually when stuff don't show up in game it's because you don't have the mesh for it. I just went to the site, did some digging around for you, and took a look at this (http://www.sweetsims.com/lots/sweetsims_sims_furniture.html)page. It turns out ilovecigs is right. You're missing the mesh...so rethink your responses to helpful suggestions ok? Anyway, scroll down the page and you'll see on the left hand side near the bottom of the page is the "Japanes Handmade Paper Lamp" (it has the picture of the lady wearing pink dress and relaxing on the bed). This is the file you downloaded...it's recolours (tablelamp1 ...not the mesh, but recolours of the mesh). Right beside it, on the right, is a picture of a woman in a kimono kneeling at a table. Underneath it a button that says "Submit". Click that and you'll download a file "tablelamp2". This has the mesh you need for the lamp to show up.
