Title: Download Issues? Post by: angeljimmy on July 24, 2008, 10:34:53 am Usually when I download stuff from other websites like
Seomi Sims I download the Mesh, And then I extract the Mesh with WinRar, and then I download the actual 'download/base' and then extract that as well -in EA games-sims2-Download- And then when I go to my game, It's never there. The same thing happens with XM sims. Help me! I really, really want to have other kind of CC in my game!! Title: Download Issues? Post by: caffeinated.joy on July 24, 2008, 11:20:12 am If you don't have all eps or sp, it could be an issue of you downloading something requiring you to have an ep/sp you don't have. Not all creators are good about mentioning if their downloads are basegame friendly or not.

If so, and you've downloaded both the meshes and their recolors, and they still don't show up after you check that, (plus making sure you delete your Groups.cache file) try putting them in your SavedSims folder and see what happens.

Oh, I guess I can try that too. And what do you mean by "(plus making sure you delete your Groups.cache file) try putting them in your SavedSims folder and see what happens." Title: Download Issues? Post by: Tenshii~Akari on July 24, 2008, 06:43:31 pm Meaning that the SavedSims folder is sort of like the "alternative" to the Downloads folder, if custom content still doesn't seem to work in the latter folder. ;)
Groups.cache is one of the files that constantly regenerates once the game starts up, and is also one of the most faulty... so deleting that file usually helps with most game start-up/ custom content related issues, along with the Accessory.cache and cigen.package files. You'll find it in the same directory where your Downloads and SavedSims folders are. Title: Download Issues? Post by: caffeinated.joy on July 24, 2008, 06:46:56 pm It's suppposed be Downloads. :)

That really makes a difference? o.oTitle: Download Issues? Post by: caffeinated.joy on July 24, 2008, 09:49:07 pm Yes it does. If you don't have it spelled exactly as I typed it (Downloads), then it will prevent a lot of cc from showing up in your game.
