Have you recently downloaded any tables, or desks? I'd start there if you have. I had something else in the buy catalog doing the same thing, but I have the game on both an XP and a VISTA machine and the VISTA machine did not load the offending thing into the first or last slot on a page. That was when the thing died, trying to select that object. In my case it was a bogus solar panel I had downloaded so was able to identify it and delete it. Apart from that, I don't know of any way to find it unless you remove downloaded ones, one at a time until you find it. If you have a lot of them, try doing 10 at a time to narrow it down.

Every now and then I have to go through that process. What I do is copy the downloads folder to a save area. Then I remove the wretched little buggars 10 at a pop until the problem goes away. Then I put back the last 10 and remove them one-by-one until I find it. Pain in the neck! But it works.
