Title: custom paintings disappearing? Post by: vonhammer on September 11, 2008, 07:54:57 am Ok well i finally got my custom paintings to show up in the game (i had to manually install CEP). What happens though is that ill buy a painting put in the hosue, then when i save the lot its gone! But the funds still show that it was purchased, i.e. my sims dont get their money back.
anyone else have this problem? Im running all ep's except bon voyage and apt. life and the Family Fun Stuff, GL, Cleabration and K&B stuff packs. Title: custom paintings disappearing? Post by: evilkinggumby on September 12, 2008, 08:40:59 am I never had the whole painting vanish but i did at one time have issue with large custom ones i d/l'd losing the image on the canvas. I think it was due to the painting itself was detailed and large so my lot was just too much for the memory to handle so the game dumped excess textures. I'd end up with paintingless canvas's..lol..
Not sure why they'd vanish. Have you run any patches like a hack? I get some weird glitches due to one that seems to mess with some scripting. Title: custom paintings disappearing? Post by: vonhammer on September 12, 2008, 08:48:22 am Well the one i've been using was recolors of The Lady In Red, and so far it has only happened on one lot with my sims. I went into another empty lot (house, no sims) and put a few up, saved and they didnt disappear. So i'm thinking it might have something to do with with the fact that i only got like around 2.5GB free on my HD, i really need to clean it up one of these days.
