Title: Startup won't finish Post by: ddayicebox on September 21, 2008, 12:35:00 am I have only the Sims 2 Original and H&M Stuff Pack and I've been downloading some stuff for the past week from modthesims.com, insimadult.net and here, and today a few hours ago when I load up the game at the start up screen it gets halfway through and it just stops, it doesn't crash because usually the music skips, I haven't downloaded much probably a little over a hundred things can someone please help me???
Title: Startup won't finish Post by: EKozski on September 21, 2008, 12:39:09 am Are you sure you downloaded stuff compatible with your games?
If you did, then try deleting your groups.cache just inside your Sims 2 folder. The game makes a new one when you start it up. Title: Startup won't finish Post by: Tenshii~Akari on September 21, 2008, 12:40:29 am Believe it or not, it is crashing, just not with the normal "warning bells". You may have an object or mesh that's incompatible with your game. What you might have to do is start taking those custom content files out of your Downloads folder, move them to a safe place, and test small groups at a time by starting up your game until the problem reoccurs. It's a painful process, believe me, but it helps in finding the problem file(s).
