Title: collection file help Post by: lezboo on November 05, 2008, 09:06:52 am Is there anyway you can make a collection file before you download a set
without a collection file? Some creator still don't make collection files with there set and because I have so many downloads I still can't file have the stuff after I open the game so I can then make a collection file. I can't stop downloading. Any other suggestions? Title: collection file help Post by: kinnika on November 05, 2008, 09:26:13 am Well, two suggestions you could do for having so much custom content. Either you can organize your downloads (http://nene.modthesims2.com/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Organizing_Custom_Content) or find a support group, lol. I probably need to do that too. I'm addicted to downloading!
You know, also (you probably already know this), but you can build your own collections while you're already in game. Title: collection file help Post by: Engram on November 05, 2008, 04:54:10 pm Try the Collection Creator: http://www.djssims.com/index.php?category=1&subcat=5
I haven't used it in a while so can't remember exactly how it works but I think you can point it at a folder and tell it to make a collection file for all the content in that folder. So if you're organised in the way you download and sort your downloads by creator and/or set as you're downloading, you should be able to make collections fairly easily. Just keep in mind that it only reads .package files so you'll have to unzip/unrar before you try to make the collection.
