i was wondering what custom cars other peoples sims own. one of my sims owns the ford edge:chainsaw:

The Honda CRV, I like that one! It's usually the one I pick for most of them... I hadn't noticed that before....:angel:

My one Sim has the Batmobile. Another one drives around in the KITT car. Then another tools around town in a Ford Ram truck.

Ford makes F150's, Dodge makes Ram ;)

I use all sorts of cars for my Sims, depends on what type of Sim they are.  I have hybrids for those who are more interested in the environment, and SUV's for those who have big families, or dogs.  I try to make it seem realistic for the type of Sim they are.

My sims usually have a Cadalac Escalade.

Alot of my sims drive around in my car, Jeep Liberty. The starters have the Ford Pinto and move up, try to get my family sims Dodge Caravan. (owned one of those in the past.)

My Sims own a hearse black limo. Or sometimes I buy them convertibles.

oh gosh.  The cars I only have about 8 cars downloaded...mostly just flashy looking ones but I do love having them an audi or a vw convertable

Pssh, cars. In *MY* day, we had to WALK to school, 10 miles, uphill an against the wind both ways, while the Japanese would try to bomb us! AND WE LIKED IT!

My main family owns an 1993 Nissan 240SX convertible.

Pssh. I had to walk through bliizzards, barefoot, uphill on a road littered with broken bottles; just like I make my Sims do. If they want a car, they can go and steal their own.

I use that car for my teens.  I don't have the convertible though.  Did you download a convertible version somewhere?

Other cars I use for my teens are usually VW Golfs or Chevy Cavaliers.
For adults and whatnot I use everything.  I have beat-up Pintos, Eclipses, Mustangs, etc.  My favorite is the DeLorean.  That's the car I want to own someday...Flux Capacitor optional. :)

My favorite is 2007 Nissan Skyline GT-R Proto with lots of recolors. I love that car. :)

my self-sim has the car that i own in real life: black 1978 Cadillac Eldorado, which i named "The Barracuda". heck, i even bought a "Barracuda" license plate at the Heart concert last summer that i put on my dashboard! my real-life car anyways....

One of my Sim families owns a 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo SS with a black finish and red/orange (couldn't tell if they were red/orange/maroon) racing stripes. I used to own a 1975 1/2 Chevy Monte Carlo and tried to find one out there to use in Sims 2 with no luck. This is as close as I can have for my fond memories owning my first car.

I probably will make that request at MTS2 because they have two or three really good car creators (FreshPrince for one) who made a lot of amazing cars based on the meshes and whatnot they find at various object mesh sites.

In real life, I own a 2000 Pontiac Gran AM (without the rear spoiler and has 4 doors instead of 2), and I would love for my Sims to own one in Aqua blue (I think that's what the paint for Pontiac cars were called).

Pffft! You guys are lucky! We had to crawl all those miles to school, in a snowstorm with the wind howling, wearing hot pants and tank tops, over roads that were littered with broken glass and razor blades! :D

I never ever buy my sims cars or driveways, for that matter. I always forget and think it's a waste of time and I just make them walk to places.

Pfft, crawl when you can just lay flat on your stomach and use your elbows to make your way through the mountainous countryside, being blinded by snow and sleet? And under the barbed wire covering the countryside because we need them to keep critters out.

Pfft. Weaklings. I had to wake up and crawl out of bed first, without the aid of caffeine!

Oh yeah? Well, I crawled out of bed, got dressed and went to work this morning without the aid of caffeine. It was an iffy trip.

You guys got to sleep?! In a bed?! You were lucky! All we ever got was hung up by our toes from a wire hanger in blizzard winds! And that was in the SUMMER!!

Some of my sims drive a 59 Impala, I treat my pixal dollies well.

You'all only had to deal with the cold blizzards. Oh my bundle up and were your mittens

I grew up I west Texas, I had to watch out for rattle snakes scorpions, and tarantula. I walk through cactus and barb wire and dodge cattle stampedes.

And that was just in downtown traffic, huh? :D

Down town we had to watch our step, our horse power were real horses. lol

True Story, there were days when I was in elementary school we could not play outside because the dust in the air was so thick our teaches couldn't see us 30 feet away. My class even decorated a tumble weed as a Christmas Tree when I was in 5th grade.

It was the same way in our school yard with the horses, there was a farm right behind it and the guy that owned it was like this gentleman farmer that rode his horses anywhere he darn well pleased. Up until five years ago, there was a sign up that said, "No bicycles, motorcycles or horses past this point." :D

San Angelo wasn't that bad. When I spent time in the country I definiatly watch my step.

I think anyone could live a long and happy life without being bitten by a rattlesnake. We had them, and water moccasins, where I grew up, but they were more along the banks of the Des Moines River and the sandstone cliff areas and beaches around it. The small caves in the cliffs were wonderful grounds for those suckers and you had to be real careful if you were doing any exploring. Last I knew, they closed the area off to the public because of the various dangers. I've been in my current location for about a decade now and it's not much better where snakes are concerned...

I had watch when for water moccasins I went looking for Concho Pearls you can google them to see what they look like. That was the nice thing about San Angelo we had water around us so we were sort of a garden spot in west Texas. Iowa is were you raised, I was born in Ill. but my family settle in San Angelo 1974. San Angelo also worked to preserve Fort Concho its an old calvery fort dating 1860s.

That is so funny, because I live in Illinois now! I've often been told not to go walking along the banks of the Mississippi due to poisonous snakes and I just look at the person and tell them that I know all about not walking by the river side because of where I grew up. They ask and I tell them and they shut up. :D

If that old bridge is still there to cross over from IL to Cape Girardeau, MO.... GOOD LUCK!! That bridge is worse than a cache of water snakes along the river in S IL. No siree, don't walk along that bridge.

A Joy without caffeine is plain awful... just awful...

I think we should ask car manufacturers to add coffee makers to dashboards in future cars.

That bridge got closed during last spring's flooding and I don't know if they ever opened it back up or not. The one spanning the Mississippi from Gulfport, IL to Burlington, IA was also closed but didn't stay that way for long. The one in Fort Madison was also closed for awhile, as was the one in Keokuk. The Army Core of Engineers said that the footings of the last two were getting a bit skewed with all of the water and traffic was at a standstill a good bit of the time because they would only allow one vehicle on it at a time, no semis at all. We're still looking for a house out of this area...

N IL or S IL?

The bridge to Cape Girardeau was very very very narrow with no room on either side. If a car breaks down on the bridge, traffic stops in both directions..

I hated crossing over into MO on that bridge. And I still hate crossing over bridges spanning large rivers with strong and swift undercurrents.. *eye twitches*

Anyway, I found a few cars I liked for my Sims to drive. I'm a Back to the Future fan and got the DeLorean from MTS2. Now my Sims will appreciate classic 80s cars even more.

Are You talking about that old bridge that was built for model T'S and had a bend in it.

I would adore finding a 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix or a 1977 two-door Impala or a 1974 Malibu Classic (two-door). Those were my favourite cars of all time, unless you count my 1983 Chrysler Lazer with turbo.... Oh, the speeding tickets I talked my way out of in that thing...

The car I learned to drive in was my dads 1974 Baracuda, God I MIss that car oldest brother got the car and  traded it in for a USED POS 1990 Caravan. I wound't speak to him for 6 months after that..

No, the old bridge is as straight as it could be across the large expanse of muddy water from IL to Cape Girardeau.

Oh yes, the 1977 Chevy Impala was a really sweet ride. That's the first car I learned how to drive in as well as the '79 Mercury Marquis with a '75 Torino 350 V-8 engine..

Most of my sims in the neighborhood own a Mazda, while only one family has a Chrysler 300.
