Title: Depeche Mode music videos for The Sims 2 Post by: Kerra_Ryder on February 04, 2009, 01:55:05 pm I have re-created some music videos for The Sims 2 which are based on actual Depeche Mode videos.
They are not the real videos; I made them in The Sims. I have also altered some things to my own liking and other things due to in game limitations. The videos are formatted in 128x128 to fit your sims' tvs. You can place them in your Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Movies\Broadcast\"Channel Name" to use them in your game. You will need to have a custom broadcast file and a channel folder to place them in. As for the custom broadcast, you will need to first download someone else's custom channel package; I'll give you the link to one I found on ModTheSims 2 : http://www.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=252487 Just download the two files at the top that say "SDTV channels" & "SDTV broadcast". Once you've downloaded them open the broadcast zip and open the broadcast.ini. Next, open up -> C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Latest EP\TSData\Res\UserData\Config\ ... I suggest copying the new lines of text from the custom broadcast.ini and adding to your current one so as to avoid overwriting anything, but if you wish you can simply drag and drop the ini file over the old one. Once you've done this you should open the channel zip and place the files into your downloads folder. After you've done so the last thing you need to do is create the following folders in your C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Movies\Broadcast : TvCharisma, TvCleaning, TvCreativity, TvFilm, TvFIY, TvLogic Finally, place the videos of your choice into one or any of these folders. Note : If you don't want to use all of these channels, simply place only one of the packages into your downloads folder and only create one of the folders in broadcast.
