 :confused:my body shop crashes" Sims 2 Body shop not responding"  :'(HELP!!!!! Please???!!!!! :'( 5cry

Go inside your Sims 2 folder, look for a file named, cigen and delete that.

The game makes a new one once to start it up

BodyShop can take a while to load if you have a lot of CAS (clothes, hair, etc) custom content. If you look at the Applications tab in Task Manager, the status will most likely say 'Not Responding' even though it is still loading. That's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. But if it crashes outright either you have a corrupt custom content file or you just need to delete the cache, cigen, files.

you may have to take out all of your cc and slowly put it back in till you can find out what exactly is crashing it? Anything new you may have added since you last used bodyshop?

 A LOT of stuff-can't remember when it first started crashing :confused: 1hmmm

Ok If I were you I would purge (start over) I know it doesn't sound fun but it's the only other thing I can think of?

My Bodyshop has crash many times by the new expansions installed,so run to the body shop of the latest expansion pack,but what you make with this body shop of expansion it request this expansion.Often it from Apartaments and Free time. :-\

Have you deleted your cigen, accessory, thumbnail and anything else that .package at the end? DONT delete anything called temporary that would defiantly be a bad thing to do and also try cleaning your harddrive simply go to all programs: accessories: system tools: disk cleanup and select your c drive and let it get rid of all the un-needed files on your harddrive other than that others have suggested to 'start over and that means what it sounds like it means delete your downloads folder and uninstall BUT backup up your game first and then re-install and then see if it runs if it doesn't run after all that I would think it would be a virus such as a trojan horse on your computer or something else like it hope I helped

O.K. i did that now i only have "Content Registry" and the other folders  that come w/ the sims2. I'll try to start it up.....

I didn't mean re-install your whole game just take out your downloads folder and start over slowly add stuff back in to see what is corrupt.

and in your sims 2 folder you did delete Accessory.cache, Groups.cache and the .cigen file??

i deleted   cigen, accessory.cache, groups.cache and some different files,MDMP Body Shop i think .Was i not 'posed 2 delete those?

You were only suppost to delete:
Cigen
accessories.cache
group.cache
only

Also, if you have any Sims you created, look inside your Saved Sims folder and take those out.

do u delete them or just move them?
oh yeah just remembered i didn't delete Thumbnails . do u delete all of them, BuildModeThumbnail, DesignModeThumbnail, CASTThumbnail,CANHObjectThumbnails& ObjectThumbnails?

Move them to your desktop
