Post by: FrankZakk on April 29, 2009, 01:42:10 pm I write never before becouse my english is very bad... but i'm asking myself if you think it'll be possible a mod that take a sim package from Ts2 and trasnform it in the same sim but for ts3... i know that ts3 is more complex than ts2 but i think that may be a good thing... travelling our sims from ts2 to ts3 and after make only the other details that ts3 have... i've more then 300 sims... and i want not reply it one by one

Given that we couldn't transfer our Sims 1 characters to Sims 2, and it wasn't possible to make a mod to do it, I think it's safe to assume we won't be able to transfer our Sims 2 characters to Sims 3.

That doesn't even consider the changes in the mechanics in defining a personality between Sims 2 and Sims 3, which is another prohibitive issue.

The personality traits and stats would have to be rebuilt completely, but the face generation could be doable. Provided Sims 3 has enough facial generator features to minic it. I'm talking Farcry 1 not 2.
