  4hammer I just thought of another  mod I haven't seen anyone request( it might be impossible) I would like to see a more severe punishment for sneaking out. Maybe the parents can pull a belt out and whip them. Or there can be a grounded option in the pie menu. Just wanted to throw that out there, I think it might be really funny to see. I have OFB,NL,Seasons,AL,H&M,GLS,Pets,Uni,BonVoyage,Celebration, and teen style stuff...
 I know for this one, I am shooting for the moon, but I'm sure alot of other people would love this for their game as well.  1sw2

Actually, there is a mod in testing right now that does exactly what you're looking for, BUT it had run into some issues with the parents. The mastermind behind the experimental mod has yet looked at the results since he has a lot on his plate right now.

I totally understand how busy he could be, and I greatly appreciate his and your work. Thank you for all the old and new mods. Please keep me updated on this particular one. And of course, tell Squinge he rocks 1rock ....hard. 2thumb

I'm not entirely clear on the logic of "punishing" a sim for doing something you told it to do in the first place.

I think it just would be a cool mod to have. It would be more realistic.

Well, there was originally, in the base game, code for smacking a 12, but it seems to have trigger conditions that either cannot be met in normal pay, or have been intentionally invalidated. However, again, punishing sims is pretty much pointless, because sims are incapable of learning from experiences, and besides, it makes no sense to punish a sim for doing what you told them to do!

It just would be a fun thing to do. Not expecting them to learn anything, just would like to make the game a little more interesting and some people like to make stories and their story could be about a single parent with a troubled teen. Anyway, its just for laughs. Pointless, maybe, but it would be fun.

Some people just like smacking their pixel dollies around, Pes; kind of like those kids that like to light their Barbie dolls on fire. :P

Who, in their right mind, would allow a teen to sneak out in real life? A kid who sneaks out could get into all sorts of trouble - drugs, alcohol, pregnancy and crime.

I do think it is reasonable for a parent to be furious with the teen for sneaking out after all, they're parents.

Ha, at the time, we didn't have microwaves. Yes, there was a time when microwaves weren't invented for kids to toss stuff into and nuke them. :P

We didn't have microwaves until I was in my late teens, in time to abuse one in my dorm at college.  ;D

yeah I figured that out after my first request was turned down, but i also thought that their could be a grounded option in the menu. I believe chaavik said there was a mod like that in the works, but if not thanks anyway.

Let me rectify the confusion:

I said it is possible for a mod to be made to allow parents to get furious with their teens as well as teens getting furious with their parents when the teens get caught sneaking out.

But not the request to allow parents to use belts to punish their kids.
