Got some glitches, weird expressions or anything just plain strange to show off from your game?

Toddlers seem to have the problem when they watch TV. Their arms and sometimes their bodies streach out and up twords the TV.

Violetlass, I suggest you read the rules correctly. The staff all know our policies but you obviously don't.

You are only allowed to attach a picture to your post when you are uploading a creation to share with the rest of us and as you are clearly not uploading a creation in this section but merely showing us pictures, you are not allowed to attach your pictures. The staff member that removed your picture was not confused and did exactly what they were supposed to do.

My two favorite pictures I've captured in-game so far.

*Image exceeds 600 x 600 pixels*

One of my Sims had to go over the Single Moms house for a Challenge and when she arrived, I was surprised to see a baby just laying in the middle of the floor and none of the women touching it.  As my Sims stood there talking to the person she was supposed to for the challenge, it was like all of a sudden, "Oh, crap that's right.  I have a kid now.  I should really pick him up off the cold floor."  I just happen to be there at the right moment to catch this wonderful picture of Sim child neglect.

*Image exceeds 600 x 600 pixels*

Another Sim I'm fooling around with decided to go visit her neighbor across the street.  She rang the doorbell and was treated to the sight of her neighbor falling victim to the dreaded Door of Splitting.

I love it when they play the virtual reality game!

And when they lose!

*Image width exceeds 600 pixels*

And I noticed this look when one of my sims was growing up...It cracked me up!

Thank Caffeinated.joy.  I paused the game and just couldn't help but take the screen shot!

It does seem like she saw a spider or something!
She also didn't grow up well so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Hey Marbi! Enjoying all the pics.

This was my most successful gardener so far. Didn't get her lifetime wish, but she was mostly happy, when she could insult people. I turned her lot into a Memorial Community Garden, she have most of the rare and special seeds, plus when my playables run out of money, I send them to Addie M. LaRue Memorial Garden to pluck from the money tree. Helps alot. I miss you Addie.  :'(

Enjoying  a peaceful moment in her garden, she loved solitude.

LMAO, I haven't been holding out, but thanks, Lewis. I just got the game the other day and she's only my second sim. But I love her to bits. She's an insane, evil, athletic, daredevil kleptomaniac.

I love her expressions. Her personality sounds fun to play.

Hunter Cotteneye from Riverview is insane, loner, mean-spirited, angler, neurotic. I absolutely love him. While honing his skill in mechanics, he tried to upgrade the fireplace to fireproof. Didn't go well, his wife Alotta had to put him out, then put out the fireplace. She wasn't happy that her furniture was on fire too. The fireman was no help, I want a fine on him for inactiveness.

Crazy from the male perspective. Bachir is also good, as opposed to evil, so his insanity seems to be a bit more playful... usually. He claps his hands and giggles a lot. Anyway, he woke up one morning and immediately started freaking out and bashing at the side of his head.

He screamed at the ceiling

Then, to console himself he went outside and played in the sprinkler (whereupon he commenced giggling like a schoolgirl). He had me in stitches.

Well my free will was turned completely off, and I decided to turn it on high so I could let them do things. The result was my toddler playing the guitar. I got pretty freaked out, her body got all deformed so I'm guessing toddlers aren't supposed to play guitar. ahah. I turned the free will back off.

I don't know who she was when I saw her at the park. She did have a name, Willow. That outfit (tuxedo with top hat) wasn't shown in CAS unless the clothing filter was turned off to show all of the NPC outfits.

No, the 'hood was fine. Just one of the unusual things I've come across in Sims 3. I don't recall if there is supposed to be a Magician in Sims 3 like there was in Sims 1. I have seen the ghost of Tragic Clown although he wasn't exactly an NPC.

I don't know how it happened. The only interaction he had with Grim was when his wife died. There are no interactions available either. He can't call Grim or invite him over. He's just listed as a Good Friend.

He's good friends with him because he took his wife away? Somehow that's giving me an idea of why they're good friends...  :p
On a slightly more serious note, did you accidentally drag it up with testingcheatsenabled? That might be why.

Title: Re: The Weird, the wacky and the truly bizarre
Post by: caffeinated.joy on October 12, 2009, 05:36:07 pm
Well, the wife was a bit high maintenance ... ;)

Seriously, though, I can honestly say it wasn't a testingcheats mishap. When the Mrs. died, I was making a point of not playing with any cheats. I find if I do, I start to rely on them too much and I end up getting bored. XD

Title: Re: The Weird, the wacky and the truly bizarre
Post by: Carlwashere on October 12, 2009, 05:49:54 pm
Haha.  ;D

Yeah, I tend to abuse cheats when I start using them too. Then I get bored, and do pointless things in the sims. In the sims 2, I ended up painting the portraits of about 400 different sims. The painter's paintings ended up being valued at around 3000 simoleons though.  :p

I've noticed that as soon as any sim sees Grim (at least in my game), then gain a relationship with him. Strange stuff, indeed LOL. Anyway, more fun with my game:

Sander scaring his ghostly grandfather:

OK, this next bit had me giggling:

Pierce: What a great day! Discoveries and explosions! Who cares if I come home charred to a crisp with nothing left but my boxer shorts! It was awesome!

Marcus: What happened to you, man?
Pierce: Oh, it's fine. Just science at work.
Marcus: Told you science was dangerous. Stick to sports.

Then, he jumped into the shower, boxers and all. :D

I was like WTF??     Her face look diseased! I took her to the mirror and clicked change appearance and it saw she has part of the mummy's face. I have no idea why her face looked like that I'm just thankful after I changed her hair she had her normal face again!

LOL I don't have ambitions yet.. I am very low on money and waiting for it to drop in price or a friend to buy it for me XD

I have World Adventures though - Anyway, my Mad Scientist futzing around expirimenting and caught the counter on fire, and the fire fighter came and stood there doing.. NOTHING! Just stood there and watched while my sim put out the fire!
Then he KEPT standing there; wouldn't leave.  I couldn't interact with him or anything.. but then I used a mod to catch him on fre.
He didn't die!  He just stood there freaking out.
I took videos - though didn't think to take pictures.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJTfVUTEPQE Here, my sim, an elder ghost Mad Scientist (He's insane, and neurotic.. he does the WEIRDEST things sometimes and makes me laugh hard.. he just went back to the Netherworld last night XD )

This, is when I caught the firefighter on fire. I was laughing HARD the whole time, and HAD to take a video.
I deleted him afterwards because 5 minutes later he was still there freaking out....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJBcp_iheUA

The Embed didn't work so I posted links to the Youtube video...
Anyway enjoy!

Enough, we are NOT going to turn this thread into a flame war. People that enjoy the game shouldn't be mocked here in their own section for this game. While I don't like it myself, I WILL defend their right to play what they wish. I WILL prevent others from starting crap with them over their choice. While I will speak out in other areas of the forum about my dislike for this game, I won't go after it on their section. This isn't the place for negative opinions or dislike, it's for posting pictures of their game play. Don't like it? Post about it elsewhere, not in this sector.

That is the lowest level of detail -- almost reminds me of TS1. Hah! That can also happen at times when the game is trying to render too much at once. Usually lasts about a second, however.

...in other news, I was poking around my yard when I spotted these two. I'm not entirely certain just what these two gnomes are up to here. I probably don't want to know either. All I have to say is those magical lawn gnomes are a weird bunch.

My neurotic Mummy keeps randomly freaking out.  He's Neurotic AND Insane! XD
Meaning he does some interesting stuff. His name is Set.  He is Pharoah Ramses' (My first mummy) son and I turned him into a mummy when he grew up XD

Bathroom Traffic Jam! LOL!  They were all trying to shoo eachother out, and Pharoah Ramses (That's what I named him, didn;t like the name he came with, didn't sound egyptian XD) did a little freak out, which he does on occasion XD

The two mummies, before it was fully loaded upon going to the room to check on them XD

Been a while since I have posted here.  I stopped playing for a while because my favorite family got corrupted, and I lost it.... It had the best in-game born sim EVER; but I uploaded it to the exchange!  The launcher didn't wanna install but I found a program that made the launcher install the sims3pack.. so I got them back! *dances* YAY!

I got my Larem back with all his random face-making glory and his wacky and wonderful family back. I think I got some pretty amusing and fun shots... but let's let them speak for themselves!

I have a male pregnancy hack; this is Set Fansen, he freaked out when Larem went into labor.  Astennu just stood there and stared.

Larem looks shocked.  Apophis looks bored.  I find it amusing how much like Larem Apophis looks.. Maybe I should change his hair so I stop getting the two mixed up! xD

Astennu trying to choke himself.

A different household (Was playing that one until I got my favorite back) that has Drizzt Do'Urden and my two OC's in it... this is when Iz started a fire cooking.  Drizzt freaked... but then put it out xD

Iz: ... I'm suddenly not so sure about this....

Not sure if its a glitch or something, but El keeps making this face when walking, and it gets worse and worse as he walks. It's rather amusing!

That must be some stanky laundry!

Iz was whining about being tired.. but he wouldn't stop watching TV. Silly Dark Elf.

This little half-Drow is up to something!

I love Larem's faces xD

*facepalm*

The one with the big eyes is Larem, the one bent down is Apophis, Larem's son.

*teehee*

Larem is by far my favorite sim in my game.  I love him to DEATH.  If you want him, send me a PM!  He's on the exchange! (A Grim Reaper skin slider was used and the unlocked rock star outfit as well as a set of vampire fangs from mts)
I have yet to buy Outdoor Living, but I will SOON!  And as soon as Generations comes out, so buying that! Expect more, I'm back into playing full bore now xD
