This mod prevents all non romance aspiration Sims from wanting to kiss any Sims other than their spouse.
 
This mod should work with all versions of The Sims 2.
This mod is compatible with FFS & GLS.
6/23/06 Fixed the errors that were being caused by this mod.

if they dont have a spouse can they still roll the want to kiss *insert sim name here*?

If they are single sims then they may kiss any sim they like:) this mod checks to see if they are married & if they are it then checks to see if they are married to the sim they want to kiss if so they get the want, but if they are single then it allows the want.

This works great for me. Except for this ONE time. But I think it was because she was Engaged and Marrried. ;)

My report:
normally, between two sims in love, engaded or married, I always had this sequence:
Scope th room -> want to talk -> want to flirt -> wan to kiss and makeout -> want to woohoo.

With your mod, pity, immediatly after the flirt action (that is supposed to go forward the kiss/makeout want) I LOSE the want icons inside the wants/fears panel (blank slots).
These icons reappears after finished the kiss/makeout actions.

So, seems your mod is cancelling the want kiss/want makeout icons from the panel until the action is done.

That is strange, I will have to try that myself & see what happens:)

There are sequences programmed to happen inside a period of time. If the sequence is broken, those blue screen wishes take place.
The same always happen to me when I for example train a toddler all in the same first life-day. Of course I cheat heavens and the 4 days become too long for the toddlers, so they wish "blue". The romantic is always the same, if they wish a kiss, they will then wish make-out and the last is woohoo.
A problem I'm starting to deal with the chemistry problem. If my Sim has first kiss or woohoo with another not-matching Sim, they will continue wishing romantic with this Sim even after getting married to a matching-one. The worst I had with the maid Kaylynn. In my game she is always from Family Aspiration but she always wish romance with previous relations.
On the end, I found out that Family Sims are much more available for prostitution than Romance Sims. To deal with wants and fears are quite troublesome. There's something similar to "cases count", I mean the game seems to count some interactions and I didn't really understand how.
On one of my test I created a Romance Sim and never allowed him to make woohoo, instead I used always "Try for Baby". It is not the same interaction and Try for Baby doesn't count internally as woohoo. My Romance Sim stopped wishing woohoo and as results were mostly obvious (many babies), he became a loveful parent always having wants and fears related to his children.
It is quite a comprehensive test aiming the possibility to develop sort of Sim's individuality. Maybe I'm wanting too much from the game, but I also have my own Wants and Fears. :)

Have got this one, and in my game the want to kiss anyone else beside the partner hasn't shown up, so I guess its working fine

I thought I'd mention that I had the same problem as IcemanTO with this, meaning my sims ended up with blank want slots. This is a mod I have been hoping someone would be able to make since, oh I don't know, I got the first Sims2 game, so if someone comes up with what might be causing that I'll probably give it another go. ;)

What is the aspiration of the sim that gets the blank want slots?

The sims - for they were at least three, two in one household (when they ended up continously blank I removed the mod) and one in another - where all Family sims. I have to admit that I rarely play any other aspiration type for very long. ^~^;;

Mine go blank also, It doesnt matter to me that they do, actually I thought the slots were supposed to blank out! LOL

It wasn't actually that fast it's just that I wasn't able to access the site to answer questions so that gave me more time to find the glitch :)

Either way, thanks a lot! :D  I haven't had the opportunity to play much today but so far it seems to work just fine, meaning no blank slots and also no wanting to flirt around with sims other than the spouse/whatnot. ^_^ Ahh how nice! *g*

Your new version has fixed the "blank wants slots" problem.
Now a new little issue. I don't know if it's real (no much time to test) but after istalling this new one I NEVER seen a "kiss-only" want.

As into my previous post, the "normal" sequence for wants and actions was:
talk->flirt->kiss AND makeout->woohoo.

Now I've always:
talk->flirt->makeout only->woohoo.

This happens on wichever personality.

Try this new version it may fix that I'm not sure becuase I haven't had that problem yet :)

I have decided to remove this mod until I am sure it's not causing anymore errors, I believed it to be working but it isn't & it's causing blank want slots for my sims, I will post an updated version if I am able to fix the problem.
 
I recommend that you remove this mod from your game for now.

The problem is probably related to the SWAF cache. I never got errors in a new 'hood (started after placing this hack in game), or for new Sims born or generated after the hack was in place.
I've noticed before that changing a want can cause the memory manager to go haywire, in that case cleaning the SWAF cache for all Sims fixed it (but in the process I lost their lifetime wants).

Thanks :) I will try that & let you know what happens, it seemed like this was working but then I went to a different neighborhood & had errors & blank want slots, other people have also reported blank want slots, is this mod working correctly for you?

In my current clean neighbourhood, yes.

This 'hood was started from an empty template and then I did delete all characters, and manually cleaned the DNA, SWAF, and memories/tokens from the neighbourhood package before playing. In this 'hood I have not had the empty want slot problem.

In my older 'hood it did occasionally occur, forcing an error on the memory manager once per lot and deleting it fixed it there.

Did you also have to delete the wants controller when you got an error?

Err… sorry that's what I meant, the wants controller yes.

However simply going to a community lot usually fixes the issue as well.

Ok thanks :) , I was going to ask you how to delete the memory manager, maybe I will try having my sim leave the lot after that error & see if that fixes it.

I just posted a new version, I have been testing it for over a month & haven't noticed any problems with it.
