Title: Shortening Bloom's Top coat so it's jacket length
Post by: wawayaya on June 20, 2009, 11:49:33 am
This outfit http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,31955.0.html is what started my obsessive love with BlooM, and... I know how to do basic recolors and resizing, but anything after that is beyond me.

While my game has Maxis suits with the jacket opened, the closest the other male body shapes have is Bloom's Top coat, and Kielen's lean BB jean suits (but the shoulders aren't right for my favorite Sbb males.)

I was hoping someone  1dreamy could just shorten the long coat. It's ok that it's BB and not Sbb.  I'm not that picky.

Check this out Hun
There is a little problem, i can not make it shorter because the BB full upperbody isn't really in the coat..
I only added the front of the body at the time..
Also included both uvmaps, alpha3 and 5 are the upper part and alpha 6 and 7 is the lower part wich is editible.
On this recolor i blacked out the whole lowerpart, srry....didn't have time to make something nice out of it ;)
If the file is to heavvy i can give the coat automaticly the same inside as outside textures as you now have the option to texture those diffrent.(alpha 3 and 6 is the inside and 5 and 7 the ouside)

I uploaded them here cos i dont want them in my section...
The mesh is identical as the one that exists, only splitup.

Wayayaya are you planning to make recolors for it?, if not then i remove the packages. ;)
O well, i did remove them already :D
If you ever decide uploading stuff for it, you may include the mesh!!
Ask if you want to change anything Hun!!

edit,
pm me your email so i can send the fixed hands version

Yes, lots of recolors!  I have become obsessed.

There's hoards of us who have been looking at the variety of options the the Maxis sized males have in clothing and wish our larger men had them.  While the opened jacket is the BB sized, and not the Sbb that I prefer, it doesn't matter, in terms of a coat.

I already have visions of experimenting with wool, linen, raw silk, and tweed, as well as changing the inner shirt, like you did with your other coats, although the shirtless version by itself is pretty hot.

I already have the outfit in mind for which sim gets to wear it in my current story.  The gals at Writer's Well will be so thrilled.

I am loading BS right now, extracting what I've done so far.  The version I sent you a picture of isn't really the right fabric choice; it was the first thing that was dark enough to use to check the presence of gloves.

Thanks so much hon!

I asked because other people might like it and download it, and may never ever know it's here. Sometimes people don't realize they want something until they see it :).

Ok, this is what I have so far.  I just colored the inside of the coat just to get a feel for what I was doing, and I took off the poorly pasted textures.  Thanks again hon!

Wawayaya, my request to Bloom about putting creations in here applies to you as well :) :

i kinda regret it tho.
I often upload previews and testmeshes in the request section, and when we are both satisfied, i reupload them in my own section.(and delete the test meshes here)
I now will end up with alot emails...since we can not transfer anything by pm and i prolly forget who is who...

I do understand, but with the size of the forum and the number of members we have, server lag/bloat becomes a real issue. So everything we can do to help alleviate that is appreciated :)
