Title: Plant guide

Gardening is a big feature in The Sims 3, but with so many types of plants and fertilizers, it may become a bit complicated. On Asilee.com, you can find a big guide about gardening (as well as several other sims guides).
Check it here: http://asilee.com/2009/06/24/the-sims-3-type-of-plants-where-you-can-get-them-value-tips-tricks/

Note that I'm also working on several guides. But since the Prima guide (my main source of info) contains so many errors, I need to check all the facts in the game which takes alot of time. The list of careers is now 50% ready and hope to complete it coming weekend.

This warrants a sticky if you plan to add more guides to this thread and help people find the guides they need.

Thanks for making the effort to create guides to help us out as well linking to the original guides.

A small site update. The Sims 3 Info center has been updated with career info. Salary, workdays, perks and more for all careers can be found there. Part-time jobs will be added later.
Check it here: http://www.snootysims.com/thesims3infoindex.php?id=careers

Thanks to http://www.missingstudios.com/ for some of the info.

Below all gems you can find in the neighborhood. You can use your mailbox to cut these gems so that their price increases. The number of cut-types is determined by how many gems you have already cut.

Below links to several Sims 3 programs and guides. Also sites where you can download mods and sites where mods are discussed and linked to.
A note on mods: All mods can be used safely; in the worst case, your game may be unable to load. If that happens, simply remove the mod. Also note that some mods are adult in nature (like the InTeen mod). So use those on your own risk.
If the mod requires you to overwrite a file, ALWAYS backup the original!

Having given these warnings, I do not feel responsible for any problems you may have with the game. Nor for being blamed by angry parents for raising the games' teen rating to adult.
