Title: Package Destinations
Post by: Charley on July 16, 2009, 03:14:53 pm
Hey, This is gonna seem stupid!

Where do I place my downloads?

I installed my sims 3 on D: and when I look in there, there is no Electronic Arts file. There is in my documents. Am I supposed to put them in My Documents like sims 2?

Thanks

Charley

I'm not sure, Char. I started to install to D but then used C. I think the two Electronic Arts folders are located in My Documents, and also in Program Files. See if there is a program files folder on D, and check there for the Elecronic Arts folder. In Documents, mine is located immediately after the EA folder which is for Sims 2. Yup, there are two of them, in different locations.

Taken from Sims 3 Improvements:

How To Use Sims 3 Mods (http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,105912.0.html)

Look there for information on locating the program folders and installation procedures. This should answer your basic questions.

Sims 3 is usually installed on Drive C: for most users on Windows. For Apple, I am not sure. For Linux, I'm not sure either.
