Title: Where are my downloaded lots?
Post by: amberfaye on July 18, 2009, 08:54:21 am
I downloaded some really nice homes and used the installer monkey, which placed them where all my other downloads are. In game, they are not in the lots bin. Does anyone know if there is a special folder they should go in or how to get them to show in my game???
Any help appriciated!

I think you have to install them from the installer in the game launcher after you place the files inside the Downloads folder for Sims 3. That is the only way to actually install stuff into the game, not just place them in the folder.

For Sims 2, I would use a zip program to install the files into the Lot folder, not the Downloads folder.  Then go into the Lot folder, doubleclick on the blue icon that appears with it, to install it there.  Then start up the game.  The home should show up then in your Lots section.
