No leet/text speak - eg: Lets c whu cn m@ke teh most complic@ted l33t spek ev@rr is not acceptable. A lot of users here have English as a second language and have a hard enough time understanding as it is. To that end, please make an effort to use proper grammar and spelling. We don't expect everyone to have perfect textbook English, but the clearer you are, the better you will be understood, and the more response you'll get to help questions, or any post in general. We are not the grammar police here and understand typos happen and not everyone is a perfect speller, but if you're not using periods, commas, capital letters and a reasonable semblance of accurate spelling out of pure laziness, we will call you on it. Plus, this is a forum, not an IRL chat session... one should have more than enough time to actually be able to post and communicate clearly for the sake of others who may not be into or understand "chat speak", because believe it or not, not everyone knows that "y" is "why" and "u" is "you" due to possible language barriers. It's only considerate that people take the time to actually make what their trying to say clear to others, just in case they may need to translate what is typed into their own language. There may be rare and occasional slang versions of words used, but as long as people are able to understand the majority of your posts without having to resort to translating chat speak, we'll more than likely let it go. Post by: Paden on September 06, 2009, 03:10:20 pm Why is it that some folks can't get over their inherent laziness and learn how to post correctly and instead whine about rules that directly specify that they are to use proper words, punctuation and capitalization? It's a forum where ideas and information are exchanged and as such, using the proper form of the language is required. Enough said.
