Title: Glitches
Post by: xLucianex on December 02, 2009, 12:35:10 pm
Anybody have any idea what might cause this? http://i46.tinypic.com/v7a13n.jpg

Its a glitched top and bottom that I cant find a way to get rid of, yes I've reinstalled. The top and bottom appear for all ages, all genders. It was amusing at first now its just getting on my nerves.

Please and Thank You for any suggestions. -Luciane

Are your graphic drivers up to date?

A problem with your graphic cards can cause graphic "explosions" like that, which is why I asked. :)

Edit: :( The files are still there. I cant figure out whats causing it or where the files might be.. wish I could just remove them straight from CAS... =/

Joy is right. It is the drivers. It was an issue with Sim2. WOW some of the crazy things you would see! Go to Start then run and type in Dxdiag. That will let you Update your drivers. If you can copy the system info and past it here I am sure that someone will let you know it the drivers are out of date (Not me :( lol) but I had the issue with The sims 2 and I ended up getting a new card. But Update might (crosses fingers) fix it! Getting rid of something in CAS will not.

When you did a reinstall, did you save your folders and put them back in?
I know for a fact that there are several sh***y files that cause glitches like these, so it doesn't have to be your drivers.
I had the same issue as you did, and it took me a while to figure it out, because I kept putting my old folders back in to not have to redo my downloads. In my case it was a .sims3pack file, and while I knew which clothes were causing the error and I deleted them in the launcher but as it turns out you have to uninstall them.
So if you know which files are the culprit and you have an idea of what their thumbnail looks like, open your launcher, go to 'Installed Content', find the files and uninstall them. That should stop more sims from coming out all warped. :)

<admin edit: watch the language, and watch the necromancy>

Necromancy is bad, mmk? Look at the last post date before replying.

Zombie thread! Ahhhh! Kill the undead! Whew, this one is stinky. Well, it is nearly a year old, now.

Also, do try to mind your language here. ;) We are pg-13.

I don't CARE if it's Halloween season, LEAVE THE DEAD ALONE!! They get cranky when yanked outta their graves and they leave drippings on the carpet! Unless you wanna do the clean up after those rotten things, leave 'em lay!
