**EDIT** Just looked at my older satyr body and it's just... meh, compared to this one... and fat. :( I thought he was much sleighter bodied than that. May I put in a request for a smaller/normal bodied fellow for fauns? I'd love to have a few fauns for the satyrs to play with. Please? When you get a chance?

I agree with FURRYJACKAL, is a shame that you don't let the mesh work with girls. First when I just saw the horns I thought what a beautiful blonde Gacelle I would create. I know is a diferent history that from the satyr, but I think is like when you create a new bodyshape, you open a new vaerity of posibilities, not just one. Amazing job, really sexy. I have one of the pan(satyr) figures with a huge .... .My best friend that is greek, she brings to me from there. That's just another idea, hehe.

...and this is also convenient for me, because I'm aware that a female shape could be used for other things but I just don't want to spend three months of my life on that project like I did for the merfolk!

Ahh! That's something I didn't know. :) (the Satyrs being male, by definition) Learn something nifty every day. They are fabulous, though and I totally understand! Which is why I felt kind of unsure about requesting the sleighter form to make Fauns since they're a touch more 'delicate' as far as I've seen. But for now, Tumnus has had a body building regime! :lol:

WOW! I have been looking for something like this for some time. I have a work in progress over on MTS2 called capricorn. I was wondering if you had any plans for female versions?  Keep up the amazing work you guys, now I must go and download every thing.

In mythology Satyrs were only male and reproduced with nymphs and other women. I agree that they should be only male. This mesh is absolutely astounding, Marvine, you are so very talented. My daughter goes to college to learn this stuff and she was blow away when she saw it. She ran to the computer to see if she could find a modeling program to play with. May I suggest some hairy skintones in a mid and a darker range to match the pale one. Perhap AllenABQ would be interested, he wonderful at this. Also would there be a chance at a toddler, child, teen ,elder model satyr?

Oh...I wasn't aware of that fact; now I guess I understand why they didn't want to make females. Still; even if it's not mythology-accurate, I don't think anyone could argue that female Satyrs would be one of the coolest things possible to have around.

Though, on the female note, My mother says "I believe there are deer women called "Hind" in greek mythology"--- any chance on seeing those in the future? At any rate, I can't wait to test these satyrs out in game; plus things like horns would come handy on other sims, too! You guys make the best sim meshes I've ever seen, keep up the good work! I can't stress enough how fantastic these are, so I'll just keep saying great job!

EDIT: Just tested these out in game---wow, I'm stunned! These are in competition with your mermaid meshes for my favorite male items...fantastic! I just realised I have a fairy/nymph sim who is in great need of a Satyr...these give me lots more options of things to create, thank yoU!

I checked out the weblink on the "HIND" and then did a google search. In each case it said that a "HIND" was a large deer with golden hooves and large antlers. I never found any place where it said they were half women /half deer. Which site did you see this at?

Oh, well. How about a barely there outfit for nymphs and dryads? Just to make it look like they lived in the woods?

I haven't seen any actual pictures, but according to my mother, the hind are half women. Still, even if they aren't, having females would be wonderful, if not just for some of the anthro fans. =/ I have a fawn-girl as an actual role-playing character, and though she is not based on mythology or any of that, that doesn't take away how cool deer people are. xP

kimahri, the human body type is the bodybuilder, and there's a "base meshes and linked skintones" sub-section in our bodybuilder section. The "enhanced" nudes and skins aren't available now, but they'll be back as soon as the new adult section is up.

These are beyond belief. I can't wait for the adult version. I'm keeping my peepers peeled. I mean come on, a satyr just seems sad with a Ken doll anatomy. Hehe. I can't get over how well you've done the legs. They look great lounging on just about anything, though my stone and rough wood furniture is the best aesthetic fit. Once my sim mythical realm gets Gryphons and Dryads I will finally be able to make the sim flick I've had in mind for ages. Yay for your mythical skills! Hey does anyone know where one might download a classical style bow and arrow set for the sims?

I have place the satyr mesh/recolor into outerwear but it looks odd that they are walking around in winter with no coats or scarves.  Can someone make some type of outerwear for my satyr boys?

Just a minor point of confusion. Are these the same thing as offered here - http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=11542 - the only difference being one is showerproofed and one is not? Meaning also that I need only download one set?

    Could you please make winter clothes (a coat or scarf)for the satyres.  Please, Please, Please! My satyr boys look funny walking in the snow with nothing on.  By the way all my male sims are satyres.  Once you go satyr you can't go back!

Thank you so much for making these - this is about 90% perfect fit for a character that's in my head.  It would be 100% if he had wolf paws for feet instead of hooves.  If I had *any* talent at creating I'd try to make an accessory...but I don't, so I'll just adjust what is in my head.

Although...have you heard of anyone doing such a thing?  (This same mesh except with wolf paws - or any kind of paws - for feet, or paw feet as an accessory.)  I did some hunting and didn't find anything, but it doesn't hurt to ask...

actually, you can get a slippers accessory at  modthesims2 made by the very talented q3tbo. they're plushy tiger paws but they can probably be recoloured to whatever you need for your demigod sim.  I'll check and see if they'll look ok with the satyr mesh and let you know how it looks.  Or you may even be able to recolor the hooves on the satyr clothes to look like paws....  Anyway, I'll let you know about how the slippers look like.


well I checked to see how the slippers would look with the satyr body...I guess it depends on how big you want the feet to be,  if you wanted them to be rather large then they may be what you're looking for.

Now he wants an arm torc and tats. :roll:  Demanding demigod, he is.  Going to be a fun character, though.

Oh, I know where you can get tatoos as well...again at modthesims2 it's in the game mod section and its called  Real Body Overlays - Tattoos  and it was made by Morague it lets you give your sims tattoos without using a tattooed skin.  It's an item that you can get in shopping mode it looks like a crate.  There are two sets for male and female (though I don't know what they look like on the females yet)  1st set are sort of like the ones on some of the university clothing and the 2nd has a dragon on each arm and a large tribal(?) type on the chest and a small swirly tattoo at the base of the neck.  I hope this is what you are looking for.

Thanks again!  :)  The controller was pretty much exactly what I was looking for! Neither of the tattoos that come with are what he wants - he's said he wants Celtic knotwork - but I read through her tutorial on how to change what's there, and I think I can manage it. I hope.

As for the slippers, there's one issue - when he walks you can see the hooves poking out the bottom of the slippers, and when he reclines you can see the hooves as well.  That's going to drive me insane, so no paws for my demigod, he's just going to have to have hooves.  Thank you for the link though, that was a most excellent thought!   I did pick them up anyway - now that we can change accessories with outfit quite a few of my folks now have bunny and tiger slippers with their PJ's.

Panpipes for your satyrs at Around The Sims 2.  Look under Single Objects, Hobbies.  Just decorative, but still a nice item for the background. Sorry, I don't know how do create direct links.
