Title: Normals Problem With A Mesh
Post by: Mr.T on March 11, 2010, 05:05:15 pm
Hello! I have a bit of a problem with my normals. To elaborate, this strange box-like seam appears where I frankenstined the wavy bottom of the Nightlife 1920s dress to the coat part of the Seasons raincoat, which I converted into a top. The seam only shows up on the front of my mesh when I have previewed a texture, and not on any other setting, smooth-shaded included. I used Dameon's Align Normal's tool on this seam and nothing happened. Since the problem only arises when I preview textures, I figured that my UV map must need changing. The seam still remained despite my adjustments. Here are some pictures for clarification.

You're very kind!  :D
I'd like to learn how to remap things, but I evidently have no idea how. There aren't a lot of UV mapping tutorials on the internet. I'm basically asking "Whoa. How'd you do that?" In the future I want to have an idea of what I'm doing so I no longer have to take up your time or anyone else's.
