Title: Proud To Be Yourself Poem
Post by: caitygrl456 on April 24, 2010, 10:30:18 am
Just because I don’t have the best looks,
Doesn’t mean I have to be made fun of.
Just because I am tall and not short,
Doesn’t mean I am weirdly tall.
Just because I have glasses,
Doesn’t mean I am a nerd.
Because I don’t do drugs,
Doesn’t mean I am a loser.
Just because people are different like me,
We shouldn’t be judged for that.

Sweet poem! :D here's one I wrote about eyes:

A pair of eyes can show everything
And nothing in the same instant.
They flash with greed, and glint with tears
They shine with happiness and widen with fears

A pair of eyes unearths the lies
They show the truth, they reveal the pain
They flatten with grief, they narrow with distrust
They become blank when needed most.

A pair of eyes can show everything,
But only if the one seeing through them allows it.
A person can hide, behind their eyes
Forcing others this truth to seek:
A person is not always what they seem.
