Title: Medieval CAS Screen - Testing Wanted
Post by: Nonni on October 19, 2010, 01:00:00 am
In keeping with my current Sim phase of all things Medieval, I present for testing this CAS screen.

I will take the liberty of quoting Chaavik here: "You will want to grab Windkeeper's CAS mods from here (http://linna.modthesims.info/download.php?t=162363)."

round podium
-------------
wind_CASinvisibleroundpodium.package - makes round rotating podium invisible. The podium still functions as it should, you can rotate your sim the usual way.

CAS objects - select This one:
-------------------------------
wind_CASinvisibleobjects_nomirror.package - removes all objects, including mirror. Leaves only rotating podium.

family screen objects
---------------------
wind_CASinvisibleobjects_familypart.package - removes all objects from second half of CAS screen, the family screen.

******************************************************
Chaavik quote:
"Install the CAS! mod in the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\**UserName**\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\Custom_CAS_Screens *Or a differently named folder*

Tested with Apartment Life and should be backwards compatible with previous EPs."
******************************************************************
Also, please be sure you have these "Wall-Windows" by Numenor (http://linna.modthesims.info/download.php?t=70222):
WallWindow Seamless BASIC set UPD-15jan06.zip
AND
nengi65 (seems to have retired, find creations and collections here (https://app.box.com/s/639656f948a0a2995327).)
rock_collectionMasterMESH (https://app.box.com/s/639656f948a0a2995327/3/323535033)

This is GREAT Nonni!!!  3yay

My new favorit-est  Medieval CAS!!!

Thanks to NickM406 (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=409968) at MTS2, I can switch between CAS.  It's quite nice and convenient!

In testing this, I noticed that there appears to be some kind of "situation" with the lighting!  The create side is kinda dark and harder to see.  I did take a picture of the full body, I didn't think about taking one when in close-up fixing the face, but it was dark as well, and this will give you an idea what I'm talking about. :D

PS. Yes, I left the mirror there on purpose! ;)

Thanks again for this beautiful CAS, Nonni!!!!

G-knee, I can tell you are missing some of the CC. We are going to re-test to see what is causing you to have the lighting problem.

Oh she just told me there is some CC missing from the Balderdash file. I will fix it or try to fix it - I am not the most technically literate person.

Thank you for the warm fuzzies.  3yay

What CC am I missing?  I DL'ed everything you said to.  ???  Except the part about the mirror, but that was intentional. ;)

Oh, I am so sorry. I forgot to tell you I have edited the download files. So you must delete the old files and re-download the new files.

My bad. I still have to run a test on the CAS by adding the mirror back. I am very slow. If it weren't for my friends I would never get anything done. I get side-tracked so easily.

I hope all works well with the updated files. Hugs
