Let's just hope they remember to show the game itself inbetween all the commercials. Hah!

...as a sidenote: I got $100 on the Packers tonight. Now, off to the store to grab the beer and snacks!

Go Steelers!

I don't care if they're the underdog.

I'm from Pittsburgh.......

It's the superbowl?

Huh.

I'll probably root for whoever my dad roots for.
Cheifs got booted already, so I dunno.

I'm rooting for the Packers, because my old physics teacher is a huge Packers fan. Plus, I hear that if the Packers win, he's giving everyone in all of his classes a free 100 test grade! :D

*headdesk headdesk headdesk* I'm AVOIDING the whole damn thing, including leaving the thread. HATE organized sports that people get paid to "play". Would much rather see gladiators or jousting if they're not gonna do it just for the fun...

Oh go cry more; just like all the poor Steelers fans are doing right now. :P

28-17 right now in the 4th quarter. Looks like I'm gonna be $100 richer soon.

ETA:
Packers won, 31-25. Woo! Even better, I'm holding my $100. :D All in all, it was a pretty awesome game. Now I can go back to not giving a damn in general about sports. Hah!

Definitely. Things got interesting when Woodson was taken out, and the Steelers finally got their offense together.

Steelers house over here, we're bummed but hardly shocked.  Typical Steelers performance, it's always about the second quarter.  Wasn't overly impressed with the Packers players or plays either though.  They didn't really have to do much though considerring the Steelers gave them the game, sighhhh.  I didn't lose any money or sleep over it though, I played my sims2 during that horrendous halftime show.  Why couldn't Bruce Springstein do it again?  (this is only my opinion for I am obviously NOT a BlackEyedPeas fan )  Seriously folks, you can't really tell me that was entertaining??  Maybe I'm just too old for this music these days lol.  I'd rather have watched the Steelers lose 27-17 than be forced to watch the half time show a second time.

This was my first time ever watching the Super Bowl (second football game too actually) and of course the team I rooted for lost :( But I had fun- I went to a party with my best friend, and most of the commercials made me laugh- especially the Darth Vader one with the little boy. And my favorite part was the halftime show :D

YOu actually enjoyed the halftime show, neesee? *shudders* Personally, I thought that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen the Black Eyed Peas give, and one of the worst half-time shows I've ever seen. To each their own, I suppose.

...and I generally don't care much for sports. I just happen to enjoy (American) football when it gets down to the divisional playoffs, and the Superbowl.

Typical Steelers performance, it's always about the second quarter.  Wasn't overly impressed with the Packers players or plays either though.  They didn't really have to do much though considerring the Steelers gave them the game, sighhhh.

I agree. The Packers could've played better. Too many personal fouls coupled with their two best on defense being taken out due to injury led to a rather underwhelming performance. Still, the Steelers did make a good push at the end there. Just...too little too late I think.
