Post by: Squinge on May 05, 2006, 08:50:15 pm
As requested:
This mod hides all the WooHoo & try for baby menus in all beds & hot tubs.

**This mod conflicts with Inteen**
no EP is required to use this mod(hideallwoohoomenusV1.0b.zip only)
This mod is compatible with FFS.
6/14/06 Added Public Woohoo.
7/08/06 added a public woohoo function that I missed.
hideallwoohoomenusV1.0b.zip(Hides all bed/hot tub WooHoo menus)
hidewoohoomenusEP2.zip(Hides WooHoo menus for all cars)
hidewoohoomenusEP3.zip(Hides WooHoo menus for all elevators)

I try to ensure that all of my mods are 100% bug free but sometimes a bug pops up that I wasn’t aware of; If you find a bug please send me a private message; I can usually fix it within a couple of minutes.

Forgive me for being a trifle dense, but ... why? Why would you want to hide these options?

The person that requested wanted it so that their kid sister would be allowed to play the game:)

Thats pretty much why the person wanted these options to be removed. I don't know how old his/her kids are, but if they were really young, like, 6/7/8/9/10 then it would make for really weird discussion, as they don't learn about that but that's just me. I mean if they were your kids would you want them seeing those options and then asking you? lol I wouldn't, especially when they were really young. Like in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 Nigel/Kyle "What does concieved mean?" Jessica "It's when-" Mum: "Mummy and daddy had a conversation that we'll later talk about" It's that kind of thing and that kid was meant to be eight years old, so you know? I'm not tryina be bossy or mean just trying to tell you why.

can you imagine someone growing up leaning about sex from the sims..."mom...I think I'm pregnant, me and boy woohoo'd and we just made a bunch of noises under our covers"

The test for those wants are the used for all of the romantic wants, if I disable them they will be disabled for everyone that plays the game on that computer because the wants file can't be placed in your downloads folder.

Squinge, Could you possibly take out the woohoo cards as well? I never use those options anyway and with your hidewoohoo mod, the woohoo want cards don't go away because you can never satisfy. I'm constantly having to refresh the wants with insim. Besides anyone who only uses this mod to let little children play will have to take it out anyway-what's one more. Thanks so much for all you add to the simming community!!

You don't have to take it out if the child has their own user account in windows because the game will use the mods you place in that users downloads folder, I am still testing a new mod that changes all the woohoo wants text & icons & I will post it when I know it's working correctly :)

That depends on how opposed you are to sims making out. Squinge has a random pregnancy from making out mod. :)

xD I'll have to pretend like I never saw this mod. 'cause if I did, my dad would jump all over this.

o_o I'm only 12, and i've clicked on 'woohoo' option plenty of times, and compaired to what I see on tv, in the movies, and what i've seen when I walk in on my sister and her fiance doing it, xD It's nothing like real life. o_o And now-a-days, all the kids I know my age, know EVERYTHING about sex, drugs, and stuff like that. :/ So..

But anywho. =) It's a good mod, just not something I would download.

Well, I'd be happier with some kind of clickable object like a crib, where the sim could just choose to be pregnant.  But I do appreciate the suggestion.

Download Insimenator. It has options when you click on it to get pregnant, lets you choose the father, and you can speed, slow, or suspend the pregnancy :)

Ok so I'm saying TYTYty fifty years after everyone else, ;) but ty soo much!   I actually love this and knew MySims was way too babyish looking and wished there was a more appropriate game for ages 8-12.   Not every kid out there is hyper-exposed to overt sexuality as people seem to believe.

Thanks for giving parents an age-considerate mod.

Thank you so much! My daughter loves playing, but I really don't want her to have the 'woohoo' option.
