Title: The Colonel's Bequest: A Laura Bow Mystery - Final Act! Post by: Cluedokid on October 06, 2011, 11:21:50 pm I'm creating another murder mystery recreation. I apologize for ending Harper's Island too soon. I lost the neighborhood by accident. I reccomend getting the DVD and seeing the actual show. Cheesy, but entertaining.
In the meantime, this is based on a game produced by Sierra in the early 80's. The main character was Laura Bow, an intuitive journalist from New Orleans who finds herself surrounded by dead bodies and intrigue wherever she goes. The first game was called The Colonel's Bequest. The mystery takes place at the bayou plantation of Colonel Henri Dijon who has summoned a family gathering in lieu of the reading of his will. However, the settlement is never reached for the Colonel's nupials and associates begin to die off and only Laura Bow can solve the case! So without further ado... What would have happened if I had done that, out of interest? What's the alternative ending, seeing as the one we got did make sense?

Post by: Cluedokid on November 09, 2011, 09:40:31 pm If the Colonel got shot, he would have been killed and Rudy would have said it was Colonel Dijon who was behind the murders. He didn't intend to leave anyone any money and invited everyone to kill them instead. He then would tell Laura pack her bags and that he would stay behind to sort out everything with the police. Laura on the paddleboat back to the mainland ponders whether Rudy was telling the truth.
