Title: Video Codec Recording error in the sims 2 (won't compress recorded videos) Post by: joewinko on March 22, 2016, 05:33:30 pm im having a problem with the sims 2. whenever i try to record a video it gives me this error message:
(http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/p608/joeisawesome4life/Sims2CodecError.png) I always try to record the videos in high quality but the game is recording the clips in high quality uncompressed which i do not want because the files would be way too big on my computer. can someone please tell me how i can fix this so i can record clips in the game in compressed high quality? please help. Title: Re: Video Codec Recording error in the sims 2 (won't compress recorded videos) Post by: Dullahan on March 25, 2016, 12:31:20 am Hello, back when I played Sims 2, I got this error a few times, and (I think) it's caused by the codec getting corrupted, or not being installed properly in the first place.
This thread (http://"http://modthesims.info/t/340563") on MTS has a little on the subject. I think most people with the problem end up having to do a clean re-install of the game (like I did), and it gets it working. |
