Title: No more mystery sim memories
Post by: Squinge on May 24, 2006, 09:27:57 am
This mod prevents the game from creating all of the mystery sim memories.

Note: Every time you create a new neighborhood made by maxis those townie sims will still have the mystery sim memories they were pre made by maxis.

Only download one file

When you create a new single sim you get those met mystery sim, had first kiss with mystery sim & made best friends with mystery sim memories.

Houaaa... I really need some vacation-days...
Thanks for your answer and I take this one (one more from you... I think I've to create a Squinge subfolder to all put in...)

Haha, I have a Squinge subfolder ;p

I'm wondering, does this mod just prevent the memories - or can you also create new memories for 'very first kiss' etc.

This mod just prevents those mystery sim memories from being created but those memories will still be created about very first kiss, ect. with real sims that are in you neighborhoods.

Hmm.  Don't suppose it would be possible to make one that just scraps those memories entirely?

Hey Squinge,:ot:
How do you explain that the same thread on MTS2 you put 4 (FOUR) lignes to explain your hack!!! So people like me don't have to ask what are the "mysteries memory"???? I think it's not fear:lol:, maybe they give you more cookies on MTS2 than here:lol:   ?

You can use JM Pescado FFS debugger (can be found at MATY) to delete the mystery Sim memories of your Sims created prior to installing this mod.  Nothing can be done for the townie coming in a custom hood, the game simply copies them from a folder it does not create them, you can delete all characters and create new ones though which will not come with those memories if you install this prior to create new ones.

Ah, thank you Squinge! To me the mystery sim always looked like a guy and It seemed wierd they were even created in the first place. ;)

They probably thought that once an adult a Sim should have had its 1st kiss already so they put fake one *shrug*

Every family and romance Sims I have deleted those memories with the FFS debuger will have the want to have 1st kiss.  It is so cute :)

Hello MissDoh

Don't know this possiblity for FFS ???
I've also read in another thread something about turning-off the free-will, and I think it was from you, could you explain???
And just for you, take a lock here:http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=12361

Turning off free-will will stop dumb Sim behavior, I cannot really answer your question since I don't have a link to see why I reply that.

It depends on which version of the debugger you have, Pescado updates it often and adds new option to it, maybe you can check if you have the latest version of it which is OFB compatible:  http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=72.0

Here is the function I am talking about:
"XXVI. Wipe Mystery Sim Memories
Removes all irrelevant "Mystery Sim" memories on freshly created so your
sims can experience the relevant moments with some real sim instead of
blabbing about this mystery sim thing. Option not available on sims with
chronologies that removing these would invalidate."

Yes I've the same version I just miss the "new created sim" in the read-me...
So no way to erase the first-kiss and first-woohoo memory cause I whish to have the two animations, I love to see them....
Maybe a request for Squinge (no he is too busy and it's not really important)

I  just wish to know if the turn-off freewill is a boolprop cheat, or a hack?

Turn off free will is under game options in the sims.

The game option is a "global" function that affects ALL sims you have.
I know there is an hack at MTS2 that allow (by menu on the sim itself) to enable/disable the freewill individually. Very useful!

Grr, shame on me.... I've never return in config menu since .... I forgot...
So it' global, I mean I wish to be able to just block the freewill for toddler and child when I control the parents (there is a sort of little war between childs  in my sim-house) ...

BTW, and off-topic, you could look at his code and maybe go forward for an individual "turn on/off jealousy"?
(I know, it's very hard, but....your are HACK GOD!) :D

This is, probably, a dumb question. I've never used hacks before and was wondering, Do I put these mods from Squinge in the downloads folder or do they go somewhere else? Thank you for any input.

You need to unzip it and place the .package file into the downloads folder.
