Title: Succubi and Incubi
Post by: Homunculus2501 on July 01, 2006, 07:57:05 pm
Hi, I was just randomly wondering if there was any way you could make a mesh so those lovely hooves and legs of yours for your Satyrs could be an accesory, or as pants only, which would be eazier. And if so, for normal sims as well, and for both genders. As you can see by the title, I am trying ot make a family of Succubi and Incubi and this mesh would be a huge help to me and Im sure others would love the idea and option as well. Thanks so much.

Marvine and Beos are basing the satyr project on mythology, and there, satyrs are males, so, I doubt they'll make the mesh for females.

Quote from: Wikipedia
In medieval legend, a succubus (plural succubi; from Latin succuba; "prostitute") is a demon which takes the form of a female to seduce men (especially monks) in dreams to have sexual intercourse. They draw energy from the men to sustain themselves, often until the point of exhaustion or death of the victim. From mythology and fantasy, Lilith and the Lilin (Jewish), Lilitu (Sumerian) and Rusalka (Slavic) were succubi.

According to the Malleus Maleficarum, or "Witches' Hammer", succubi would collect semen from the men they slept with, which incubi would then use to impregnate women. Children so begotten were supposed to be more susceptible to the influence of demons.

Honoré de Balzac wrote a short story The Succubus concerning a 1271 trial of a she-devil succubus in the guise of a woman, who amongst other things could use her hair to entangle victims.

Malleus Maleficarum offers that succubi and incubi take either a completely human form or are invisible to the eye; in no place except art does the goat leg thing appear.

Ok - had to go check this data - but the succubus was not bat-winged or goat legged until the Gothic catherdral building phase in Europe circa 1200 CE.

A priori, a succubus was always depicted or thought to be a perfectly shaped woman with one single small flaw that set her apart - she had no navel.

From a more recent publication - The Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual I, page 44:

"A succubus appears as a stunningly beautiful humanoid, with perfect build and flawless skin. Succubi usually take a female form but occasionally appear as males (called Incubi). Their natural appearance is decidedly demonic: statuesque humanoid bodies, large bat wings, and sinister, glowing eyes. Succubi are about 6 feet tall."

And I thought playing that game for 20+ years would net me nothing. Heh Heh.

  Even that is not a traditional succubus - but the cobbled up fetish of a horny cellar geek who spent to much time reading Penthouse Letters and not enough time reading Daemonolatria.

Hey....I resemble that remark....heh heh. I didn't have the basement but...well....you likely visualize that point.

But the other point is that a (Artistic rendition you said?) Succubus/Incubus would be a wicked addition. "Satyr" -ealistic or not. I like my demons more functionally humanoid, personally. Historically/Literally accurate? Why worry overly much? Is this not a fantasy game after all? Of course, I bow to the radiant creativity of the requestee in that regard.

That said.....I'm going to search for a Large Bat Wings accessory for Sims. As I'm new to this (or any other Sims 2) community, I would of course welcome a bookmark-laden pointer-outer to such a coveted prize of decadent deviance.

Yep.....that was the first result I went for via Google......gotta love mortal temptation after all.

Now.....if only I could find the right combination of massive 38DD breasts and muscular female build to match to these that will support reddish skin......hmmmmmm.

Actually, I'm aiming for Purgatori, from Chaos comics. She's kind of my fantasy Sim if I can get her together, but she's too much for anybody to make her bits for, unfortunately. She's waaaaaaay too complex.

By the way....looks like I'm on the search again for demon wings....those only work for male Sims.....boo hoo, sniff sniff. And my favorite part that I was desperately hoping would work didn't.....turning her vampire paled her skin too much. Warlokk from MTS2 has the right booby size, and the red nude skin I got here is wonderful for her, but it seems I'll just have to wait (and beg, and plead, and wish) that either I can convince a talented Simmer to make her work as a vampire goddess, or I try learning how to do this radient creation thing (highly unlikely since I truly suck at understanding it).

*sigh*

I personally have no interest what so ever in making anything female - none - nada - zilch - would sooner have all my teeth broken off at the gum line with a hammer and chisel.  If you want female crap go esle where - there is already 900 female downloads for every male download on the net.  Peronally I am sick of it.  If there was never another female thing made ever I would be happy as a hog in slop.  Ok, so that is a little over stated but you get the drift of my sentiment.

If it involves making the boobs, I have no intention of making another female mesh ever.  I lost a month of my life getting a pair of them to look right.

Please accept my apologies for offending you.....it was not my intention.....here or otherwise. But please be advised I do love the work you folks are doing here. It's making the game experience so much better, and I'll bet many others would agree with that sentiment.

Thank you again.

no offence given or taken - apology isn't necessary.  I am just rather worn out on the female content.  3000 useless hair meshes as far as I am concerned.  I don't play the game to make a fantasy wedding or any such thing.  So every time I see another runway model dress or haute couture item, I want to vomit.  It has become one giant white noise of oestrogen soaked frivolous frilly crap that reflects 1% of the population.

The sad truth is that there is so much class envy in the Sims community I despair for the future.  There is hardly a day goes by that 1000 new useless female dresses are not made and posted for download some where.  And truly how many redundant lipsticks, eyebrows, and blushes are there?  Now the creators are so desperate for new matter they are going to the utmost fringe of fashion and beyond.

There are great creators that constantly breathe a blast of fresh air into the stale, dead ideas of the Sims community.  But they are exceedingly few.  I think it is about time people stopped playing "dress up time for dollies" with this game and begin trying to move it in new directions.  We have become mired in a rut of thought and this constant drive for more female content is just tragic.

If there is not some equity for the guys soon, I will lose all interest in the game and the creative process.  Don't mistake my meaning.  It is a great honour to work with people like Shady, Trek, RabidAngel, Helaene, Ren (Rensim), and too many others to name here; but I am disgusted by the mendacity of this community in its constant catering to the 13 year old girl mindset.  As much as I enjoy and like the period and fantasy things, I want realistic people, with realistic clothes, and realistic lives in my game, not "dress up time for dollies".

There are too many people -- from Maxis down -- that are trying to keep this a game for 13 year olds.  That is madness.  70% or more of the people who actually play this game are 25 or older.  So we need to draw a line some where; are we going to continue to make frilly, impractical things?  Or are we going to try to max out the potential of this game?

o_0 that is NOT what I meant!!!

although at this point I would settle for a transvestite bobybuilder décolleté in preference to yet another high heel female mesh with a slightly different skirt than the last 400 meshes of that nature.

Mmm you made the transvestite bodybuilder.

Just so I know, wich one should I dump? :D

Hoo boy....did I derail the heck out of the intent of this topic......oops. I bet Humonculous is seriously irritated with me....sorry about that.

I bet there's a plethora of lustful incubi waiting for your talents to unleash upon the unsuspecting Sims. Perhaps Chaos Comics' rendition of Lucifer would do?

Cool, up next for me then, I'll make a frilly wedding gown for She-Hulk!  Complete with chiffon and little lace flowers.  Ah, the inner-wedding planner is just itching to get out of me!  Thank you so much BBB for bringing out the chic designer hidden deep within me!

By the way, I'm totally kidding.

Intermagus, have you tried this (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=92744) default replacement for the vampires?

If you have and didn't like that, why not just use the vampire fangs made by GeneralZoi here (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=123609), and the blood-tipped recolor I did, here (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=123758).
