These are the basic top, bottom, and full body (no-nipples).  The skintones
use the athletic girl series of meshes for the female part. You will need the

Is the Athletic Girl mesh required to use the updated Slim-BB mesh?  I can understand how convenient it'd be for people to have one skintone linked to the Athletic girl mesh at the same time linked to the Slim-BB mesh, I don't want to use the athletic girl in my game.  What will happen if I download the updated slimmer BB mesh but not the athletic girl mesh?

Well, well, well, I like this slimmer athlet, but I'm really very interested on the Girls. :)
My comp is on the border of the acceptable, so I'm collecting for future use, so I would like to know - Is everything needed included in this serie, I mean, the girl too :) ?
I use the Crammy boy for the boys, do I need to do something about or will it be directly used by these meshes ?
When you say "shower proof" does it mean that I just put all the packages in the downloads folder and nothing else is required than send the guys to the shower?

The meshes have been in a state of suspension for some time, beta until just last week.  They never had a formal release with base textures until just now.  The meshes in beta form have been available for sometime, but not as finished items.  As noted in the first post all updated and finalised for release.

As for it being strange, stranger things happen every day in my neighbourhood :lol:


If you make certain to download the MESHES_ju-beos-ath-girl_slimbb-barbie.rar mesh package - you are ready to go for the female side of the naked in the shower experience.  But as far as the other components of clothing for the females - you will have to shop the female projects forum for those ;)

Oh thank you for the info. I'm going to use the body builders in the new comp and as to clothing, I like to experiment a little around self. I have only to test the distortion that will be caused by the new meshes.
In the moment I cannot download much, once I have only 1GB RAM and my downloads folder reached already 980MB. The game is slowing down.
My new comp is supposed to have 4GB RAM or more on a 64bits base, 7000 series Graphics etc. I'm really excited.

I am sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I am a little confused about these meshes. I have the original slim BB meshes you made (and alot of clothes) and also the Louis skins that are linked to the slim BB mesh for shower proofing. Do I need to download these new meshes and if so are they going to conflict with the slim BB linked Louis skin tones I already have?

Just download and install these updated meshes for the slim BB - they correct a flaw in the area of the legs.  They will not cause conflicts as they are identical files except in the small correction to the way the skin is mapped on the body.


Bobslobber:  It is not my intention or ambition to make 70 variations of each skintone.  What I post is all there is.  If you want a slim bosybuilder male only version, Wirelessguy has such available in his section.  What Marvine and I are doing is making real life type family genetics.  These skintones are linked in accordance with that ambition.  No further versions will be made that have a non-athletic/non-bodybuilder female version.  If anything we will be making the skintones more dependent on out meshes. In fact, as I make updates to the previously released versions by myself and marvine, the female portions will be linked to the athletic or bodybuilder girl.

By end of Summer (Northern Hemisphere) no skintone posted by me will be linked to anything but these.  So if you can find them, grab them, their days are numbered.

beosboxboy: I see.  You thought I was asking about skintones, when I really wasn't.  To reiterate my initial question: I asked if the updated MESH required another MESH.  Like jwilson5, I also downloaded the Louis skintones by Wirelessguy, in which the male one was linked to the Slimmer BB mesh but the female one wasn't.  Like jwilson5, I wanted to know what happened if I downloaded your updated mesh and if there would be a conflict, not what would happen if I downloaded your skintones.  I guess the answer is that the only difference is that the mesh's legs have been corrected, and that the female athletic meshes aren't required at all to use Wirelessguy's skins.  

I wasn't asking you to create 70 skintones.  It's nice you have an ambition, but I didn't ask about that.  I'm sorry if my initial question wasn't clear, but given the tone of your response I'm much more sorry I bothered asking you at all.

I am not sure if this is a good place to ask this question but I couldn't think where else to bring it up. I have been working with bodyshop and Adobe photoshop since before the sims 2 came out, creating things here and there. I like to take skintones and modify them. I have been working on wireless guy's  recoded Louis's skintones attached to the slimbb mesh (my all time favorite) with more realism to them (i.e. no snap on tools required for these guys). I have noticed that on the back of the neck at the base of the skull, a funny bowtie shape where the BMP is trying to wrap around the slimbb meshes. I can't figure out how to get the bowtie color to match the rest of the skin tone so it is not so obvious. I noticed on the maxis skins you linked that the bowtie is hardly noticeable because the colors are so close. Wondered if you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem. Thanks.
PS: I am also working on modifying Louis's skins to work with Warwick 34C enhanced females (moving nipples and such).

Can some one help me i"ve been trying to download meshes and stuff from this whole site and when i click to download it downloads an internet page instead of the mesh. Can someone please help me fix this problem.

I wonder, has anyone ever experimented with layerable skintones?  I like the shading of KSK's darker skintones, Kavar's body hair skintones and your anatomically correct skintones now I'll have these slim body builder skins I wish I could have a meld of the best of all 4.  Maybe I'll try my hand at it when I graduate from recoloring couches (hah!).

NikeyRios - the skintones in this thread should do the trick for you

There are other, earlier versions of skintones released by Wirelessguy before the creation of the athletic girl and female bodybuilder that do not have links to the athletic girl meshes.  You may have to make new sims with these skintones to achieve the effect.

If you have any of several of the nude/nudist hacks/mods that are available, there is a significant chance that you may not be able to see anything but the mesh specified in the mod/hack.

It is rather more technical than this explanation, but the general means by which some nudist hacks work is they over-ride the top and bottom meshes specified by the skintone and use the Maxis full-body nude that is not otherwise used by the game in most language versions.  (If you had the Thai version of the game - then you would be using a version of the game that does use the fullbody mesh, and this would be the reason you see the underwear skin instead of the nude US language versions use.)

What do you mean by shower proof skins?

Beosboxboy:  I have a nude skin with your original bodybuilder shape and male genitalia loaded wherein it appears on every adult male who becomes nude (shower, streaking, getting naked in the hot tub, etc).  I can't seem to identify it in Sims2Pack Clean Installer to get rid of it.  I installed it most likely over a year ago.  I'd like to be able to have a nude skin that will work with Crammyboy's penis, however, as long as this nude skin exists, my men have two ******.  :lol: :lol:

Any help or advice you can give is greatly appreciated!!  :happy7:

killahboot - it sounds like you have the default replacement mesh made by someone other than marvine or me - we have never made a default replacement mesh; so I am uncertain where you picked it up.

if you use a non shower proof skin - the guys get skinny with maxis normal bodies in the shower -- if you use a shower proof skin they stay buff.

I love this mesh.  It makes great looking sims.

Hey, Im having a wee problem when my slimmer bodybuilders get fit, they loose their body shape above the waist and end up having the maxis male chest and SBB hips and legs.
Ive downloaded the latest meshes but I still get this problem.

It seems that for whatever reason, Bodyshop didn't retain the fit top mesh information - we'll fix that and reupload the skintones as soon as we can. :(

I uploaded the fixed skintones - and right, this means that your skintones need to be edited too... :(

I have the original slim bb meshed skintones that are not linked to the athletic girl mesh. Does the same CUT top problem exist with them? If so will you be offering a fix to those (i.e. Wireless guy linked them to Louis's skins)?

Hi, everytime one of my SBB goes to work the game crashes it doesn't happen with all the BB males this is the second one that causes the crash all my males are BB/ SBB or athlete now i wonder why it happens to both males and not the other ones :???: :sad4:

ST4TheSims2 - As far as I known, The Sims 2 will not use a custom content clothing mesh or custom content "shower-proof" genetic skin tone for automatically generated community Sims.  There is a known chance that custom content hair recolours that have colour-binned and custom content accessories can be used by the game in this process.


geenrijm2 - I have been researching this problem for over a year, since Nec and Ailias brought it to my attention.  I have never been able to duplicate this bug, so I have not been able to develop a solution.  Jase439 and I have similar notions that most bugs of this nature are related to the custom content cataloguing mechanism that manages the wardrobe of the families and single sims (treated by the game as a family).

Maxis/EA will not acknowledge this bug, but I did discover that they changed a part of the University EP in the last patch released for Uni EP: Prior to the last patch, when a Sim went to University he/she would retain whatever clothing from the family wardrobe and if any were enabled for Young Adult (Multi-age clothing sometimes as well), he/she could begin to use them. When a Sim graduated or dropped-out and moved back to the regular (non-University) neighbourhood, the Sim would retain clothing that had been purchased if that clothing was specifically for adults.  Multi-age clothing sometimes as well.  After the patch is installed, this no longer occurs; the now adult Sim appears in some Maxis made clothing and you must begin the process of rebuilding the wardrobe.

Since I have not been able to duplicate this error and have no precise knowledge of the underlying mechanism that causes it, I must sadly inform you that I know of no way to resolve the problem except to change the Sim into a Maxis made clothing prior to doing a job search as a possible work-around.  You might also benefit from using SimPE, Merola64's Multi-Purpose Painting, or InSIMenator to get your Sim a job.  This may not fulfill a want (like get a science or whatever job) but in the long term the benefit may be you play the game without the crash, although the downside is your Sim doesn't get the Aspiration Points - but often this isn't a big number they are missing out on

Thank you for the quick and accurate reply. I've tried changing the SBB outfit into the Maxis one, it didn't work. This is what i've done, since the game only crashes as soon as the Sim jumps into the carpool, when the car pulls up at the same time the game crashes. I bought the Sim a car, not a Maxis just a CC, et voilá...no more crashes as the Sim drives to work in his own car. His girlfriend however drives to work by carpool, no problem. The game is smooth as ever.

I love these meshes.  I just got Bon Voyage and boy was I surprised when I sent my slim bodybuilder to the sauna and massage table and he turned into a Bob Newbie look-alike when he changed into the towel.  Is there any way to make "towel proof" versions like the "shower proof" skins?

Thanks for this.  I've been remaking my Guild Wars critters in Sims (Where Tyria meets Technology), and now I can make my Canthan Warrior, Storm Redleaf.  This is the perfect RPG warrior body.  I sure wish EA would come out with something like Sims Dungeon Adventures.  It would be the perfact RPG.  You'd be getting so many d/ls form here!

I've been going through the posts and may have missed this, but is anyone else experiencing this particular problem? After updating to Seasons and Bon Voyage, I can no longer seem to get my "nude" SLBB shape to show up in any of the clothing areas (mostly PJs and underwear). I've installed the latest meshes and got more clothing, etc... but I prefer to have my guys sleep in the raw ( :-o ). Anyone have any advice? I've got all the BB meshes loaded in the game, and hoping there is not a conflict somewhere with lean or regular bodybuilder.

I have your big bodybuilder series, but I just realized that this one more suits my sims fit. I love these a lot more. Are there any clothing for them, or will all of the Maxis clothing automatically fit due to these being default based meshes (if I'm reading into this thread correctly)?
