Title: Help!! Can't see the clothing!
Post by: rad42 on August 17, 2006, 07:45:09 pm
I just downloaded the various clothing collections for these body shapes, and extracted them to the My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Collections folder.  But when I start the game and go create a Sim with them I can't see the new clothing, only the default stuff.  When I go to collections I see the folders for 4 hip sizes (40, 38, 36, 34) and 34D tops, but when I click one nothing shows up.

In My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Collections I can see 644 'package' files.  But I can't see any of these items in game.  Any thoughts about what the heck I'm doing wrong?

Thanks
Rick

Actually the clothing packages themselves should be in the Downloads folder, only the Collections files should be in Collections... but if it's working, I suppose it doesn't matter.  :)

They're all package files, so how can I tell which are the collections files, and which are the clothing files.  I think this is the problem I'm having with Body shop I whine about in another post.  If I get the clothing files in the downloads folder, I'm thinking they'll show up in Body Shop.

Am I on the right track?

There are a couple Collection files posted here, but you're right, they're .package files too.  Everything else goes in Downloads.  For my stuff, I try to make it obvious from the filenames, but it's hard to say what others might do.
