The Reason I wanted to be on the Bachelor Bahamas, is because i just cant seem to find a good man who likes me for who i am. They just see my Model Job, and think all kinds of Horrible things about me.

Both of my girls just thought it sounded like fun, they have as good a chance as anyone.

 
Question: Why did I join the Bachelor Bahamas?

Answer: Technically... I didn't. I had no idea I was getting into this. I graduated university awhile back and I've been working on my career. My parents said they were giving me a trip to the bahamas as I graduated with honors and helped fulfill my Mum's lifetime want to graduate 3 children from college. But when I got here I found out the truth. Mum gave me a letter to open that basically explained why she was putting me through this... and you know what they say, 'Mum knows best'.

I've always tried to make the best of every situation and I guess this is happening for a reason. I don't have anyone in my life and I never really have. That doesn't mean I don't want to. When I said I was working on my career, I didn't mean it's the most important thing to me. There's nothing more I would like in life than to find a great guy, settle down and someday have six grandkids. I think then my life would feel completely perfect. The reason I am resistant to this is that I am really shy and because of that this is quite difficult for me.

I guess the only question I have for Mitch right now would be, why did you decide to try find your mate this way?

Well, honestly, my friends put me up to this.  I never thought it would come to anything, so I went along with it, but here I am!  I've dated, but haven't found that magic feeling about anyone.  This contest, although a little bit high-profile, will get me a chance to find that person who will leave me speechless.  I guess you could call me a hopeless romantic.  Please give my personal thanks to your mom.  I look forward to spending time with you.

Audri...By deleting your post you made it more difficult to understand.  You have left it open to greater misunderstanding.

"Shayna" would love to be here herself to reply here, but due to Temperate-Zone Storm "Operator Error", she and the rest of my simmies and downloads have been evacuated to the "D" drive until the C drive has been reformatted and reloaded. I believe all the little simmies to be safe, but my audio recording programs and data will not fare so well. This is a HUGE loss for me, but as stated, at least the little simmies are safe and should be back in action by the 5th or 6th.

Were Shayna here - her response would be (for the cameras) that she's here for the fame, fortune, glory, and of course, the PRIZES! She would never admit that to Mitch, but she'd have no problem babbling that to anyone else, including the other contestants. Shayna has no qualms about lying, stealing, cheating, anything short of murder, to win the contest.

Having said that, why did "I" (The Mule) enter? It sounded fun! For some reason I was under the impression that some role-playing would be involved in the contest. As soon as Shayna's background took root in my mind, it was easy to see that she would be that one contestant that every reality show seems to have. The one everyone hates because they know she's lying and only after the prize, while the "Bachlor/ette" is completely oblivious to their motives. To me, it would be great fun for each of the other contestants to come into this thread and say what a skank, lying, theiving, little tramp they think Shayna is. It would be totally true!

Now, if Mitch asked the confessional question - Shayna would reply - "To hopefully have some kind of fairytale romance, be totally swept off my feet by a good man!"  Of course we all know she's lying, but would Mitch?

Shayna's question for Mitch: From my own experience of being abused by my father and his freinds, I feel a great deal of sympathy for maltreated children. Is that the driving force behind your foundations? Were you an abused child, too?"

Of course the audience and other contestants would be saying... "Wait, didn't she say something about having never met her father? What a lying little..."

Why did I become a contestant on Bachelor Bahamas? I ask myself that a dozen times a day and still can't find the right answer. I did it on a whim I guess, never expecting to get this far into the contest. Don't get me wrong, Mitch is HOTTTT!!! More then that, his heart seems to be in the right place, and he says all the right things so far.

If he is the real deal, if he is as caring, as gentle, as loving as he seems to be, then I would do anything to be with him. However if this turns out to be just a hollywood stunt, and he turns out to be an egotistical airhead that only cares about himself,,, well then I will just enjoy this time in the Bahamas and then go back home to a life i enjoy, so I am already a winner either way.

I hope he turns out to be the real thing, and I wonder what he is doing right now?

Wow. I am feeling a little shaken right now. I can't believe that Mitch would think of this! The gift of the journal was so unexpected and it's just so touching. I feel so silly for getting emotional over this, but this hasn't been an easy experience for me. I was resistant to this - I didn't even become part of The Bachelor of my own choice! But now that I'm here...

Seeing Mitch in person was a great experience. You can learn a bit about a person from their picture, but in the flesh it's a completely different experience. He really has it together! I was surprised that he even seemed a little shy at first, but I guess it can't be easy being the center of attention of so many unfamiliar women. And yes, before you ask, there's definitely some physical attraction there.

Now that I've spent some time with him I'm excited to be here. I'm not saying we're 'soul mates' or anything, I don't know him well enough yet. But Mitch seems like a good guy and I would love to get to know him better. I only hope I have that chance.

Mitch, I have another question for you. You've asked us, so now I want to know... What was your last girlfriend like?

I started my foundation because of my family. My mother always taught us that there’s always room for one more chair at the table, and what’s one more load of laundry. She had love in her heart for both the children that she made from love and children that God sent for her to love. I was 7 when Kat became a part of our family; my parents had always been foster parents, so when Kat came she was a welcomed addition. Kat came to us dirty, quiet, sad, underweight, and illiterate. I remember one night while I was doing my homework I heard crying, so I went to see what was going on; what I found was Kat crying in my mothers arm’s saying over and over “Why didn’t they love me?”  I watched my mom cradle this 9 year child. I remember the words she told her that day. She said, “Baby I need you, I want you, I love you!” I’d say that I started the foundation to make my parents proud but the truth is I did it so could be proud of the man that I am and the father that I will one day become.

Well to be honest, I haven’t dated in a long time, but the last girl I was interested in was my best friend, ?????? (Addie), you’ll meet her later. We were best friends in college, the kind of girl that you bring home to mom. Well, I did just that. I decided to bring her home for Christmas; her parents where taking a dream trip across America in an RV and wouldn’t make it in time to spend Christmas with her, so I thought it would be the perfect time to have her meet the tribe, (i.e. mom) and take our ‘best friend’ status to couple status. Well, one thing is for sure my mom loved her and so did my brother Darren, I was surprised to find that after Christmas dinner Darren had cornered Addie under the mistletoe and it was very apparent that the sparks were falling. They are expecting their first baby late fall.

Have I ever been in love before, and how did I know it....Honestly, no...I've yet to fall head over heels for any man. Although, when we were dancing? Pressed all close to each other....everytime your left leg pressed against my right leg I felt something that wasn't your leg and....whew baby!!! If I'm gonna fall in love it had better be with something like that!

But seriously, Mitch - these other girls. Where DID they find them? I mean, these girls have more air between their ears than a monster truck show. I asked one of them, I said, "What color dress are you going to wear on your date, the red one or the blue one?" and she says "Yeah." Have you ever been in love and if so, how did you know?

I was in love once, yes. It was the guy I mentioned before that chose money over me.  That was when I learned that sometimes you may love someone with your whole heart, but it doesn't mean they feel the same way back.

how do I know what love is? Well, it's like one of those things people always say, "no man is worth your tears. The right man for you is someone that could easily make you cry, but wouldn't dream of it." It's a feeling that takes control of your being. *giggle* Love is getting through the struggles of being in a relationship and still look at the other person with respect and awe. Love is being able to look at the whole person, warts and all, and saying, yeah, he might not be perfect, but he's close enough to it for me.


and the baby is soooo cute!! *giggle*

OUT OF CHARACTER - Just to let you know, to get the shot of the baby in the box, I summoned someone from my world and turned them into a toddler with insiminator. Problem is....the baby won't grow back up or leave. At one point the dialog screen pops up and he says "Gee it's getting late. I have to go. See ya" but the baby can't get down the stairs. He's just crawling around the house...motive monitor keeps him happy. I just wanted to share that...

Oh...here we go again. Meet the family! I'm dead. I can't fool them on this one. When I applied the producers asked our addresses and phone numbers. I HAD to give them the right ones! I live on Buffalo's Eastside! We're poor! Mitch ain't gonna have none of that! Can't bring his car there! Get stolen for sure! And my mamma!!! Oh let me tell you, Tyler Perry done stole Madea right from my mamma! And my brother...he's ...well...he's just different. I don't know what planet he come from but he don't belong in any neighborhood let alone mine. And my cousins....ohh...they'll be hangin all over Mitch...shakin they're booty at him...Mitch gonna be runnin from my house like it's on fire! Oops...wrong way to use "that's on fire" but its the truth. This is bad....really bad....

Evidently, Shayna doesn't know Mitch very well, because if she did she know that he's a man not a boy and a bunch booty shakin girls, ain't gonna make him think differently about her.

It's not that Shayna fears Mitch would be interested in them, if you remember from here application - Shayna does not lack self confidence. She fears her family will scare him off because they are not of his social standing.

I guess I wasn't the only one falling in love. I am really embarrassed to say that there was some drama going on at the homefront while I was away. Apparently, my sister Emma told my parents that the reason why she had decided to take a year off of University was to find herself. Well, that may be the truth but it was only part of it. My little sister Darcei was easdropping when she heard Emma tell Eric that she wasn't going to marry him just because she was pregnant. Of course Darcei  being the tattler she is, ran and told Marenda who ran and told my mother.  Of course, though, Emma had to face my parents with the truth.


My parents aren't naive but they certainly didn't expect my sister to be pregnant before she finished college. My father is more disappointed in her than angry. My parents believe that if you love someone enough to make love to them you should be smart enough to protect yourself, your partner and any children that may be created.


Eric told my parents that he loved my sister and that he wanted to marry her.  But Emma refused, saying that although she can't change the fact that she'll be a mother, she knows for a fact that marriage won't solve any of her problems.



I spent the majority of the day trying to calm my parents down.  Now, for some reason, my mom thinks that I might be fooling around with some of the girls.  Go figure!

Adreia money doesn't really matter... it matters on the day of paying the bills but really as long as there is food and shelter the rest is up to the couple to be happy and make it special :wink:

I defenetly am in love with him Sweet. He hasn't said anything to me though... so I'm not truly sure whether he is in love with me or not. He has done things for me that most people wouldn't; so I know he has feelings for me I just don't know how deep they are. I just hope he figures it out soon, cause going shopping for a ring can make a girl's heart melt but it can also brake it if in the end she is not the one who gets it. :wink:

Yes, I'm in love with Mitch. It's scary and exciting at the same time because I really don't know if he loves me back... and because of that I haven't told him. I know he has to have some feelings for me just from the experiences we've shared, but Mitch is such a gentlemen, he never forgets that there are other people's hearts involved so he hasn't told me. I hope he feels the same!

Yes, I am. I'm totally scared about it. The last guy I was with totally, like, broke my heart and stuff. I haven't told him of my feelings because, you know, I know there are other girls here too. I get butterflies whenever I'm with him.*giggle*  I know Mitch has feelings for me as well, but I don't know if it's love. I'd never speak for someone else, but I hope he has the same feelings for me.

"Will you merry me?" Mitch asks Lana. Her eyes get very wide, her mouth opens in surprise. At this point she is totally speechless and continues to stare at Mitch, expecting him to say 'just kidding', while he patiently awaits her answer.
It took some time to recover, but the question hit home and she threw herself in Mitch's arms and repeatedly said "Yes, yes, yes ,yes..."

Love is not a word I throw around lightly.  I care about him, and I know he cares about me.  I can tell by the way he's always so patient and understanding, and how he never hesitates to rush to my side when I need him.  I believe love isn't something that can be fabricated just because someone arranges the circumstances, or that you only think he's Mister Right because he's one of the only Misters around.  It's something that takes time, work, trials, and a solid foundation of friendship and trust.  Am I in love with him?  My judgement on that may be clouded right now, but what I know for sure is that I have found a best friend.



I honestly don't think I could give an answer - knowing me, I'd probably be crying to hard to get anything out!  I think he'd get the idea, though, when I throw my arms around him and hug him like there's no tomorrow.  Some women dream of finding a best friend in their husband... I dream of finding a husband in my best friend.
